You can't have it both ways. I've been reading a lot of comments on different boards saying that Floyd has lost something or that he doesn't have his legs anymore and things of that nature. It's ridiculous. He came out and said he was going to fight both Ortiz and Cotto a certain way and he came out and did that. Yet people still feel the need to ***** and moan.

Would you rather he revert back to fighting guys like how he fought Baldomir?? Because he could do that. He has chosen not to do that. Anyone that thinks Floyd can't move and pot shot all night long is just a mindless buffoon.

I love the way Floyd is fighting now, and I don't see how anyone could sit there and ***** about it.

Don't really see that many people "complaining" about how Floyd fought.

He dug in deep against a game opponent. Nearly everyone here has been giving him his props.

But you can't really expect some of us to actually believe the notion that he's choosing to fight this way to entertain the fans. Because you're disregarding Cotto's display, in my opinion. Cotto made Floyd fight that way. He gave him no choice. Floyd couldn't do anything but stand and grind it out. If he could revert back to the Baldomir style, believe me, he ****ing would. He's constantly talking about preserving his health and that it's not cool to be hit, so why then, after having his nose bust up, would he decide to stand and trade? That's not within Floyd's nature. He fights the way he does now because his ageing body doesn't allow him to dance and box safely the way he used. It's like Hopkins, after those entertaining scraps with Pascal where he got tagged and rocked plenty of times, saying he's doing it for entertainment. Pfft! Yeah right, old man. You're doing it because you can't run/move out of the way of shots like you used to.

Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it is what it is. Credit to Floyd for adapting his style rather than continuing with it and risking himself getting tired and vulnerable against lesser opponents.

I've gone to a lot of different boards, including this one, and I see a lot of people saying he looks old and doesn't have it anymore. It's idiotic. Basically, I see people who are impossible to please.

i love the new floyd. i find it hilarious that people like you believe floyd fought this way because he wanted to please the fans. you really think floyd "health" mayweather trained next to his uncle for months on strategy, just so he can hear his uncle plead with him to box more during the actual fight? you fools make it so easy for floyd.

You fight more offensive minded, you'll take some more shots. That's how it is.

He is still sharp as ever. He just had a really skilled offensive strong fighter who is no pushover and came to fight. Why are you so concerned over what other say? Trust your eyes.

Like I've said in my edited post. He can try and claim that, but most of us know better. Saying he can't move around like he used to (which is natural for a 35 year old!), is not hating/complaining/criticizing. It's just a mere observation.

  12. Cotto = I'm gonna go to war

Pacquiao = my health is more important

    :huh
