Last night was a great night of competitive action-packed boxing. Great displays of skill and will by both men. While Cotto has taken his fair share of punishment over his career, including last night, I think that he showed he's far from finished as an elite fighter. While counter-punchers in general are expected to perform better in rematches, I believe that it was also Cotto who learned a lot about his opponent as the fight went on. I wouldn't be surprised if Floyd corrected his own mistakes and won clearer in a rematch, but my question is, did Cotto impress you enough and did the fight entertain you enough to warrant a rematch?

No, the fact that Floyd could still dance around in the 11th and 12th shows me what was up. The second fight would be boring...

But if you put in 8oz gloves, why not? I guess.

Yes but it would be a clinic by mayweather because he would adjust better this time

Maybe after both have another big fight Vs. another fighter they have never been matched with.

I wouldn't be opposed to it, Their styles mix well together.

I'm good. I rather see Cotto(e) do boxing a favor by derailing the Saul hypetrain. It'll be another episode of Puerto Rico vs Mexico

No. There really should only be a rematch if there was a controversial/unclear ending. There was no controversy, and Mayweather won descively.

I think he would beat Canelo, but they won't put him in there yet; Oscar knows he's still raw.

I think Cotto needs to win a tittle while Floyd is in Jail and then they can unify and make it interesting!

who else are you thinking about Cotto(e) fighting besides Floyd? He clearly showed he still has plenty of life last night.

No, Although Cotto had a great Game Plan it is gonna take the right fighter to beat Mayweather...Cotto lacked where he has always lacked.

Can Easily be hit repeatedly with the same ****, Bad Stamina in the long run.

But Man he put on a great performance, He just had some tools and doesn't have everything necessary to beat him.

So no... but he gave a good account of himself... It was a good performance and money well Spent.

Yea sure, but not in the immediate future or at not in 2012. Cotto-Canelo would be a great fight. Canelo always reminded me of a watered down version of Cotto, but hes already coming into his own. Those sparring sessions and beatings from Golovkin are paying off.
