Is your point that CompuBox numbers don't provide an accurate representation of a fighter's performance? There's obviously truth in that, but Canelo's high connect rate is an illustration of how much Mosley is past it as much as how accurate Canelo is.

My main problem with CompuBox is I that they're seriously inaccurate.

Stats will help you making out what took place cause your mind can't keep all 12 rounds together and in short notice but this is about clean effective punching and stats will help you with that but also defense and stats are not as useful and not defintely with ring generalship. You gat to score each round at a time and those are just simple total numbers and rates.

Yeah it is a pretty meaningless record. If it has any use, maybe it could help convince Mosley to retire.

Boxing is quite unusual compared to other sports in that statistics are hardly used at all. I guess CompuBox is the only means they have of applying statistics to a fight. There was an article about it on ESPN recently:

Us true boxing fans should not pay attention to dumb **** like this. Just like we dont pay attention to all of these meaningless titles. We know who is who in the sport, and should not let higher powers tell us otherwise. just like we know rios lost against abril, williams and lara, etc....

This **** means nothing. Lets just ignore this crap

Yes it. This is something they should get rid off. The Floyd/Cotto bout numbers didnt make any sense at all. It plays and influences the viewers mind. Who determines if its a power punch:patsch The only guys that could determine that, is the two inside the ring, nobody else.
