I agree with Roy. Floyd should stay clear of Khan. He'll whip Pac's ass too!

    Khan?

Khan would be a knock out victim. Let's be reasonable.

At the lower weights, the most competitive fight is Pacquaio and the higher weights, Martinez.

If Floyd wants to fight someone at 154, he could fight Alvarez, but I don't think Goldenboy is ready to put Alvarez in with Floyd at this point.

I suppose if Floyd wants a stay active fight, he could fight Angulo or Kirkland. Angulo may actually pose signficant problems for Floyd.

I've only seen him hurt against Kirkland, and I think his stamina was a signficant reason for his chin to give out.

Other than that, he comes at his opponents like the terminator and he is long. This means that even as Floyd gets in a defensive posture, he may not have the power to keep Angulo off, and Angulo will have the length to land clean shots, especially his left hand.

I doubt the money team will put Floyd in with Angulo. A younger Floyd, would be able to use his legs to outmanuever him, but can the current Floyd use his legs consistently enough to avoid ever going to the ropes?

Kirkland is another fight, but Kirklands brute strength and punching power could potentially put Floyd in another war. Then again, his lack of defense combined with Floyd's accuracy could make him an early knockout victim.

Martinez is very dangerous. He'll pick his shots and bring his shots in low. He' try to hit Floyd ducking down, and he has the speed and the quickness to Force Floyd to be on his toes for the entire fight. His explosive late round knockouts against his last two opponents are testament to that.

He is also a counterpuncher, and I don't think it would be wise for Floyd to provoke Martinez because Martinez again, has the speed, length, and quickness to capitalize with hard hitting shots.

Floyd could fight Khan, but Khan's shots can be predictable, and Mayweather has the size, the speed, and the accuracy, and the probably the power to walk Khan down and finish him in the late rounds.

It's a safer fight than the above mentioned.

I think the fight the fans want to see though will be Pacquaio.

Regardless if Floyd fights and happens to lose to any of those opponents, and Pacquaio as well, I think what is hurting the sport is saying undefeated records are the most important thing in the sport.

Because if the that's the case, if Mayweather does lose, what then? Do people just stop watching his fights? Where does that leave the sport?

We need to realize that a loss can happen to anyone. That's what will put boxing back in the mainstream.

The sport cannot be on the back of an undefeated record and hope to survive.

Khan does have better speed or equal with 147 Mayweather. Still he doesn't have nere the same ring IQ and that is what ultimatley wins the fights.

Yeah thats what would seperate the 2 ..IQ ..Only his speed and youth gives him a shot ..If he does well in the Peterson rematch im sure he could get Floyd's attention.

I actually agree with Roy here too, especially after what I saw last night. Floyd still wins clearly... but Khan gives him lots of trouble. Like it or not the speed and youth of Khan WOULD be a factor, and Floyd isn't getting any younger.

The Cotto of last night also stops Khan late imo, he looked great.

    154 Cotto of course...

Khan will never face Cotto though. why? - weight

The only fighter Khan might be likely to face who has any traits which may be near to Cotto (power and size wise, yet can make 147 pounds) is Ortiz.

Both the Same age, know each other well and probaly will fight as long as Ortiz doesn't go to 154 within the next 2 years.

Khan's chin would not hold up...as his stamina went, so would his chin...Khan is not nearly as strong as Cotto either.

Khan is too dumb, and too fragile to beat Floyd.

Floyd will walk that ***** down, and end his career.

Haha, yeah obviously... I meant stylistically of course. Cotto showed great inside pressure last night, almost as relentless and even smarter than Peterson's, which gave Khan hell. A guy like Cotto is a very BAD style matchup for Khan imo.
