Mayweather repeated his BS about testing (something that has widely agreed as a settled issue) and you could see Merchant START to ask the obvious question (50/50 split) and then very sheepishly back down. I don't believe their was an apology. I think they simply agreed to script what was allowed to said post fight. Pretty disgusting in my opinion.
yeah that interview was so disgusting  wtf can Floyd ever win. He cusses Merchant out = disgusting he's nice and apologizes = disgusting
It's one thing to make all nice, it's quite another to agree to let known falsehoods pass to appease a fighter to get a post fight ring interview. We all know the testing issue was straight up bull**** that HBO agreed to let Floyd get away with. NO other plausible explanation in my book. "Floyd Almighty Himself" has already said it was the purse split but when the cameras on on with millions watching he goes into paid propaganda mode unchallenged? REALLY?
Precisely, and in the past would have. That's why that stinks to high heaven. Obviously Merchant sold out to get Floyd to agree to the post fight interview. Shameful in my opinion.
Merchant has a choice. Either he plays nice and keeps his HBO paycheck during Floyd fights... Or he gets out of line and gets cussed the **** out again, and Floyd boycotts him. For once, he used his keg of a brain and made the right choice.
Not sure about it being scripted but he did really apologize to him. It was after the weigh in and he did it in front of a lot of fans. Not super loud but you could hear him apologizing.
Or maybe Mayweather, who is always concious about public opinion, did actually apologise? There's no reason to suggest otherwise. Put your tin hat on and log off.
Merchant took a pot shot at Mayweather, Floyd approached me and apologised, and I accept He should of said 'I also regret my part in the incident' or just not mentioned it.
Merchant definitely didn't stress out with his questions which leaves some question, still I think he showed more respect than usual considering the apology.
