If a fight is enjoyable to watch, I find it a bit of a chore to score it round by round so I tend to only do it in controversial, close fights. This fight was not that... my perception of the fight tho was that giving Cotto any more than 5 rounds is giving him way too much credit & giving him less than 3 rounds is too harsh on his performance. Very good fight, I watched it for free today.
We all know how fights are scored, no need for explanation. The fact is everyone awarded all the close rounds to Floyd when they could have gone either way. When I bring up Zab and DLH is because I feel Cotto won more more rounds and did better and still loses by those large margins. I just had this fight much closer than 117-11 or 118-110.
The reason some of you scored this fight so close is because Floyd is sick... with Pernell Whitaker's disease
Again, re-read. I'm saying that you should keep quiet. :rofl:rofl:rofl Are you 14? Or are your parents cousins?
I was thinking the same thing. For example in round 8 commentators were talking about skills and hard punch Mayweather landed still Cotto was landing clean and hard. This wasn´t a fair fight in the first place, money talks...
Cotto landed his right to the body and jab upstairs. Every other punch was close to non existent. A feat in itself that he was able to have two consistent landing punches.
Rounds 3 and 5 were the only ones that could've went either way. Two judges gave one of those swing rounds to both fighters. One judge gave them both to Mayweather. Anyone who scores the fight 116-112 gave both the swing rounds to Cotto. If you know how fights are scored, then you should know that your complaint here is meaningless.
