Why was Cotto so much easier for Pacquiao than he was for Mayweather?

Cotto was better prepared physically...actually employed a trainer who helped him develop a game plan and provided instruction, and he didn't view Floyd as a "little guy" and drop his guard and get into a firefight.

  2. I take it you've watched a movie before and criticized it, but only because you're acted and directed at some point.

I take it you've commented on a Ferrari before, but only because you've a collection of supercars.

I take it you've hated a book, but only because you're a published author with a Pulitzer.

The idea that you have to have practiced something to comment on it is ****ing ******ed.

Pac throws fast combinations and circles you, forcing you into a shell, also Cotto can't fight well when backing up, that's why he took the fight to Floyd.

Someone who's had to lose the last few pounds to make fighting weight, would have a better understanding of it than someone who's never had to do it.

    True or false?

    :patsch

Oh and I saw your grossly idiotic scorecard and comments on PACLAND, lol. Also I noticed Donaires wife has made it clear that you're her *****, you are literally the most "owned" person on the world wide web, congrats!

Exactly. Every pound counts, which is why Pac felt the need for it.

I've been mentioning that Cotto's style would trouble Mayweather as soon as the fight was announced IF and only IF Mayweather doesn't hurt or drop him early in the fight. As long as Cotto knows he can handle Mayweather's punches that's when Cotto will slowly comfortably apply his fighting style which would trouble a defensive fighter like Mayweather.

Cotto's bane are aggressive fighters with power that would trouble him. If you notice early on Cotto was slowly looking like he was going to give Pacquiao a hell of a fight till that punch landed and Cotto was overwhelmed/overpowered all the way to the end. Raw power and aggression is Cotto's nightmare, a defensive fighter can be handled pretty well by Cotto. Just look at the Mosley/Cotto fight, Mosley went in there trying to box and Cotto was comfortable which ended against Mosley.

Styles make fights, simple as that. Marquez was dominated badly against Mayweather despite the weight issues as Cotto was dominated badly against Pacquiao despite the weight issues.

If anything this victory tells you that Pac is a myth as his resume shows that he makes his opponents cut weight. Cotto left Top Rank because they wanted him to go down to 146...Cotto instead faced Floyd at 154 in what was a competitive match. I have a lot of respect for Cotto's skills after this fight. Floyd impressed me as well.

This. To ******s trying to claim 2 pounds is nothing, their knowledge is nothing. If it's no big deal why the hell was is requested?, simple as that.

Catchweights make a difference otherwise they won't exist. Whether it's one pound, two or three. Cotto's training changes to preparing for Pacquiao's style AND maintaining the weight limit requested, especially when he has been weighing 146-147 for THREE YEARS as a welterweight.

This was by far Cotto's best shape in a big fight ever in my opinion. He came in great shape, didn't show ANY signs of getting tired at all and was throwing till the last round despite being stunned.

Here's another thing, if the Cotto fight was easy for Pacquiao, no one told Pacquiao this. Pacquiao said that was his toughest fight in years. Even when they reminded him of the Marquez fight, he stood his ground. Cotto is a tough fighter.
