How would Lara and Williams have performed against Moseley ? That is the question you have to ask yourselves. I wasn't a fan of Alvarez and thought he got way to much credit, but last night he fought an almost perfect fight.Sugar may not be the fighter/puncher he once was,but he is still a handfull for anybody at the weight, and has the brains and pop to cause anybody problems.
When he was in mid range throwing combinations or inside letting off bodyshots he looked like a beast. Mosley's chin is pure steel. Flaws that stuck out to me though was he moves the wrong foot first when moving sideways and needs to move his head a little more and jab when he was walking Shane down.
I was impressed by him. That was the best I've seen him for sure. He was throwing some hard shots in there, but Mosley's iron chin proved itself once again. It was a nice showing from him, but I still think he's about 3 or 4 years from prime. He's showing improvement already though.
Ok, you admit in your own post that it was a "minor test" and "nothing to get excited about" yet you try and criticize me for not being impressed? :nut Gotta love the whacko's on this site...
no i was not that impressed....the thing with canelo is that is huge the division....i think he is going to have to go up in weight class whether he likes it or not. I think he will put a Brandon Rios soon.
I've been impressed by Alvarez since the first time I saw him fight. Even if he was fighting a so called "bum" I liked what I saw from him. If you're going to fight a lower classed guy you might as well beat him up and look good doing it.
Shane was in the weight class he was supposed to be in with the Pac and May fights. Shane's never looked good @ JMW. atsch
