Last night showed me that Floyd can fight on his back foot. Manny would have to force Floyd to fight on the inside like Cotto did last night, but we all know he's a mid-range fighter with an inconsistent jab. Yes, Floyd is vulnerable to get hit with straight left hand/left jab, but Manny's straight left is very predictable compared to Cotto's jab. Cotto is always on balance when he throw his jab, whereas, Manny can easily get hit and be off balance if he miss with the straight left hand because he always jumps in and over-extend his body. Everyone need to watch round one of Mayweather-Cotto to see that Floyd can still operate smoothly on his backfoot and pivot when he wants to.
Marquez is slower than Mayweather even at this stage of Mayweather's career by a good clip and he had little problem avoiding many of Pacquiao's punches.
He couldn't knockout Cotto, took him up til the last round to get to that point but he's going to KO Pacquiao, who is more durable? I'd be more concerned with Pacquiao landing the same number of punches Cotto did on Floyd.
I don't know what conclusions people have drawn from last night but i actually saw a beatable Floyd. Cotto just wasn't the man to do it. Neither was Marquez. Ironically, I think ORTIZ could have made it very interesting. Now, more than ever, I would have loved to have seen how that fight would have panned out had Floyd not opted for the easy way out. I consider Ortiz stronger and more physical than Cotto.
Pacs team is licking their chops right now. Floyd looked bad to me i'm sorry. I love the guy an I ordered the fight. He was on unsteady legs last night. He had a tough tough time with Cotto. Manny has a whole other level of pressure than Cotto. He did by no means dominate. Ill get called a ******* even though I like floys slightly more
Manny would do everything he canto bust FLoyd's face.. :yep Knowing how Pac fights, he wants it to be an entertaining one.. He shows what the fans wants.. And Floyd? health reasons.. :yep :deal
