Did Floyd "carry" Miguel in the final round?

    I don't know. All I know is that Floyd stunned Cotto, Cotto fell into Floyd. Floyd hit Cotto again and his legs buckled. Then Floyd basically started dancing around until the final bell.

    he knew he was in the lead, he was tired and he didn't want to get caught with anything stupid. I think he could have dropped Miguel but he wouldn't have been able to finish him off.

    That's more or less what it honestly looked like to me, and it wasn't just his body language, but also his facial expression. His eyes seemed to "light up" the way we've seen so many times with so many boxers who suddenly realize in a fraction of a second that their opponent is more hurt than they initially realized from the moment of impact.

    I really think if Floyd just stepped in and threw one of those quick 2 or 3 punch combos that he landed with great regularity throughout the fight, he could have ended it then and there.

    For whatever reason, Floyd just stopped in his tracks. I too believe it may have been out of respect for the game effort put forth from Miguel.

    the way it looked, Cotto was out and had leaned forward and mayweather kept him up then stepped back. I really felt that mayweather could have finished him.

    Cotto was wobbled a bit, but does anyone think floyd is trying to compete with Pac in the "being a nice guy" department? :patschpahleeeeze jus stop with this **** already will ya:rofl

    Show me a round where Floyd mauled, bloodied, and floored Cotto enough to show Cotto mercy on the final round.

    At the same time, I've seen Floyd show greater finishing instincts during that "moment of realization".

    Now if you want to say he just took a safety approach, I can buy that though.

    Just seemed to me he had a prime opportunity to put an exclamation mark on his victory, and that he consciously opted against it.

    Why do I have to show you a round? How is your question at all relevant to mine? My question refers to a specific moment in a specific round of the fight, nothing more, nothing less.

    I was wondering why he wasn't trying to finish Cotto off while watching it. Even before Emanuel Steward made the same observation. I wish Merchant had asked him that, maybe he did, I only paid half attention after the fight was over. Did anyone ask about it in the post fight interviews?

    I think Floyd knew he had the fight in the bag and Maybe he was a bit tired... It was a tough fight after all. It wasn't a walk in the park like the JMM fight!
