Cotto really started going hard in rounds 4-8 and clearly won most of those rounds and he slowed down in round 10 and he could have won the fight:patsch

I watched the fight and it was a very close fight. I had it 8;4 for Monye but cotto definitely troubled mayweather!

stamina, moving up in weight probably made things even harder, more muscle uses up oxygen. Diaz did prepare as much as he could though and probably did as much as he could with the time he had with cotto.

I like Cotto, but I think he exhibits some kinda mental dwarfism from time to time. The fight was actually his for the taking. I mean what's stopping him from going all out, Floyd aint KOing no one in 154 LOL.

Cotto almost always fades late in a fight. If he kept fighting like he did in round 8 he would have made it a lot more closer or even steal the victory. Just cotto being cotto.

Ran out of gas. It's too bad, he could have won the fight if he was conditioned properly.

There is a reason that Cotto chose to wear 10oz gloves when Mayweather wanted to have both wear 8oz.

There is a price to pay vs Mayweather when you insist the fight stay on the inside. You have to be willing and able to take the precise counters Mayweather will comeback at you with.

Those counters by Mayweather on the inside were much more cleaner and effective than anything Cotto landed on the inside, which is why Cotto in many instances would have to bail out and reset.

Long, mid distance, short distance. It did'nt matter where Cotto took the fight to, Mayweather always landed cleaner and more effective connects at any distance.
