If an entire broadcast, post-match interview and post-fight presser goes down without mentioning the P4P#3 guy who may come down to 154lbs with or without a big name. Career welter and super welter, Sergio Martinez fought through Cintron, PDub, Pavlik, Dzinziruk, Barker and Macklin, mostly bigger fighters with stronger promotional backing, clearly being in the Floyd conversation, only not even being mentioned let alone let sit ringside over the weekend. Expect Chavez Jr. to rather give up his title, HBO and powers of boxing want none of this charismatic fighter and it's sad, your support however could mean something.

Pretty vs. Sexy - the highest caliber elite fight possible in boxing! BRING IT ON! :deal

The way HBO is ignoring Martinez and downgrading him is despicable....

I wouldn't be surprised that if jr beats Lee... They are going to call him the nr 1 guy at middleweight...

And they probably keep Max Kellerman as far away as possible from that broadcasting team... As he is the only one who tries to keep it real from time to time..

There's a poll right now on the Ring site, with 2/3 of the voters wanting a Floyd vs Maravilla showdown (with the Pac fight not happening that is). Think that says enough about how the real boxfans feel about it.

The way Maravilla is ignored looks a lot like the (WW) PeeWee situation a couple of years ago. :verysad

they just wanna build Canelo and Jr. as the two biggest megastars of the future... And Martinez is their biggest problem... He'll beat the easily and the boxing fans know it...

But t they figure.. we just keep ignoring him.. keep giving him shitty fights and at the commentary we tell everyone how he is getting old and not as good anymore... And probably at some time a lot of casual fans will really believe that Jr. is the great unbeaten undisputed middleweight champion of the world who fought everyone that is a threat

If the pac fight doesnt come off,I think Maravilla may be next for Floyd. Floyd now has a title at 154, a perfect reason for Sergio to fight at 154,a weight hes mosrt comfortable at.

Sexy is also great television, usually very articulate and respectful, sometimes however plays cocky and would very much hold his own vs. Pretty. There never quite was a 24/7 with two intelligent characters who can see the bigger picture, Time Warner/HBO/GBP/MP should realize the potential.

I don't think Floyd should continue at 154. Cotto looked physically a lot stronger than Floyd.

There are 3 of them within two weight divisions of each other and they can't sort it out. It's pathetic.

if floyd would not go back to 147 again and fight pac, then martinez should be the other option. forget khan or canelo.

Floyd clearly doesn't consider Martinez an option so if there's somebody to take on Sergio "Maravilla" at 154 is Saul Alvarez but probably nobody will step up to 154 plus to get a shot at the MW Title which used to be the qyeen of all belts. Happens that all the competition is in between the upcoming lightweights who r finding difficult to make the weight limit at 135 and the 140 pounders and 147 pounders, that is boxing right there and of course north of the MW border with the SMWs and LHWs...

I was shocked they didn't bring him up to Ward, especially given Merchant's obsession with Martinez moving up and his giant hard-on for Chavez.
