Shutting up and watching the fight isn't really in the spirit of commentary, it's more anti-commentary.

Chop Chop seemed to pause allowing the ref to step in, seemed to me he was about to get a free hit which would have been a nasty stoppage. Chop Chop seemed surprised he had wobbled him.

Ref had a split second decision to make so I woudn't be too hard on him. McCloskey was hurt but he may have been a little bit premature.

McCloskey was badly hurt wasn't raising his hands which made it look even worse and didn't know where the **** he was for a good 5-10 minutes after that fight. I've no problem with the stoppage he had been taking bombs all night.

The ref made the decision look worse than it was. Jumping in when McCloskey was hurt, walking him around the ring and then waving it off. Once he protected McCloskey, the fight was over. People would have criticised him less if he just waved it off straight away.

    Exactly.

Either stop the fight, or let it carry on... they shouldnt stop to let the boxer recover unless theyre going to give a standing count. Shocking refereeing (again) from IJL

Well personally I have nothing against it, could he have continued? Yes but he was getting badly hurt there. Maybe the ref should have given him a standing 8 count but we never seem to see them anymore in pro boxing.

Corley said he'd been told he was behind on all the cards.
