i saw the post fight conference, and i think his confidence will be seriously dented after being labelled a C- fighter by a gatekeeper level fighter who's best years are well and truly behind him. hearns said if he comes back it will be at euro level. TBH i think he'll receive a serious ass kicking should he go in against ashley theophane mccloskey probably gets stopped.

he hasn't got many years in him, hearns should give him a sink or swim fight, either put up or shut up. but for his sake it shouldn't be against anyone who's slick and black ;-)

whats wrong with being a euro level fighter
for me thats a huge level to get to, and it takes a very special fighter to reach that level
i think sometimes we build boxers up just to knock them down, i grew up looking at british champions as true greats, but that seems to be gone....mccloskey did amazingly well to reach a level where he could compete at world level, he came up just short...just short of the greatest boxers in the world at his weight...no disgrace, he goes back to euro level which so many pro boxers would be so proud of to reach...he is still an extremely talented boxer...just cause he didnt make world level it doesnt make him '****', comments like that from boxing fans (in other threads here) are laughable to me

I ythink it is just a case that he has been shown his level. No disgrace in being a British level fighter!

he should give Prescott a re-match, probably the best selling fight he could get now and Prescott would take it.

He might do, but Euro level is his level.

He'd be a great gatekeeper, imho.

I actually think he will, his post-fight interview hinted at retirement.

I think he will struggle with some of the top fights at euro level. Some good domestic fights out there for him.

He reminds me a bit of magee at SM. He will always get found out at the top level. Decent fighter none the less.

i think prescott wont waste time on him and will try and knock him out, prescott's really desperate for fights and if he sparks mccloskey his back in the mix. and knocking mccloskeys block off is his only means of winning.
