Well hes past his prime , has been beaten before , has no power , i suppose he fits the Canelo matchmaking profile Oscar make it happen baby :good
When did I copare quintana to mosely? The point was the mosely fight was bad and so would a quintana fight be.
Canelo isn't ready for an elite I thought that was agreed upon by the majority so why wouldn't Quintana be a good choice?
quintana will be an idiot if he takes that fight....he cant win it....canelo is just way too big for him...younger...on him prime.
for those who didn't hear on the May/Cotto telecast Steward who trains K-9 said provided Bundrage can get by Spinks a Canelo-Bundrage unification could be next up red: David Schaefer from Golden Boy was quoted as saying that. truth ... K9's next fight is vs Spinks, but with it being in late July, turn over to Sept might be too short **and I thought Kirkland was still out with a shoulder injury.
No way...Quintana-Williams III or Quintana-Bundrage are more realistic matchups IMO. Nobody's gonna pay to see Canelo-Quintana.
Well its a possibility though I doubt it would be marketable enough for the media. Cotto vs Canelo would be awsome and would sell big time. Though again I doubt the current boxing incumbants would feed the young lion to the old but still sharp lion....could backfire on them.
^ that is true, Cotto-Alvarez is very risky on Golden Boy's hand .... as if Cotto destroys Canelo, a potential cash cow gets ruined dunno what Golden Boy will do, as Sept isn't too far out, and not too many big names at 154 look available a unification with K-9 could be a safe choice.
Quintana would beat Mosley now. In Quintana's prime (when Mosley was past his, but not shot as presently) it would have been a different story. Mosley would have knocked him clean out. Now, Quintana tags him from outside and denying his charges with matador turns all night en route to a wide UD.
All excellent points but I'm trying to see how I'd sell Canelo v K-9 to the public since this would be a PPV fight...
I agree, I don't really see why there are so many clinging onto Mosley (as seen with all the lost avatar bets), I understand that he's fought very good opposition in his last 4 but actually looking at the performances he looks such a shell of his former self its unreal.
:nod I think even a drained (or rather, liposuctioned) Vargas could even stand a chance to come get his revenge at this point! "The real Sugar Shane" died circa Round 4 against Mayweather.
