No wonder Floyd always ducked Joel Casamayor!

Floyd is simply overrated! He looked so painfully predictable, easy to hit ( yes, eating jabs all night long ) and throwing 2-3 punches at a time. I always said that Mayweather while very good is not a beast much less unbeatable.

Back in 2002 the Junior lightweight division was stacked with talent. The Champions were Mayweather
    ( WBC ), Corrales ( IBF ), Casamayor ( WBA ) and freitas ( WBO ).

It's very safe to say that the best out of the group were May and Casamayor. Casa was always calling out May and he absolutely never wanted anything to do with the Cuban southpaw. :huh

A prime Casa ( from 26 to 32 years old ) was razor sharp, fast as heck, accurate and also powerful. His defense was simply awesome and add to that his southpaw stance and let's not forget his outstanding amateur career. Could this be another case of " ducking "?

A prime Casamayor would have given Floyd " fits " ... :good

You mean junior lightweight don't you?

As the lightweight division champions at that time we're Johnston, Spadafora and Julien Lorcy.

What a surprise, a guy named Cuban Bon Bon claims Mayweather ducked Casamayor. This is same Casa that lost to Corrales, a guy Mayweather mopped the floor with. Casa hasn't been relevant in 10 years. Casa is a guy known best for his losses, a guy that was a benefactor of the worst robbery in the last 20 years or so. Santa Cruz beat Casa down and got screwed.

And although I believe Floyd would win, I won't deny that Casamayor could've been the toughest test of his career at that point.

The pre-Freitas Casa was highly skilled, quick, savvy and, although not to be proud of, dirty.

I am not inventing anything, Casa was always calling out Mayweather. Did you forgot already that Casa beat Corrales 2 times? And Casa IMO also beat Corrales the third time too.

Pbf is a much better and more complete boxer than casa was. Pbf didn't avoid him and he beats him going away.

That's the story with Casa. Supposedly he's always getting robbed. He's a guy that's best known for his losses. He's not on Mayweather's level. He never was, and never will be. He was a good fighter, but a notch or two below Mayweather.

    :lol::lol::lol:

Didn't avoid him? I remember everytime Casamayor won a fight he said with his horrible spanish accent " I wan maiwether " !!! Did he ever get a response back? NO

I also remember a time when someone mentioned Casa's name to May and he said " let him continue fighting tomato cans " and immediately changed the subject.

Dude, Mayweather went life and death to beat a " mediocre " Cuban in the Olympics by 13-12, he knows what's up with the Cubans ...

It would've been an interesting fight, but I doubt there's a lot of people who really think Casamayor would've win.

And why not? Casamayor was a great pro Champion with great amateur credentials. If May went life and death to beat a mediocre Cuban 13-12 then Casamayor can beat him. Let's remember that styles make fights, and Casa had over 300+ amateur fights.

How does a 35 year old Floyd Mayweather looking bad against Cotto = Prime Floyd in his 20's losing to Casamayor?

Casamayor may be able to beat Floyd at 130 lbs but I don't think that you should base your desicion on how Floyd looks at a different weight and about 10 years after he moved up from 130 lbs
