How is this BoxNation's fault? BoxNation used the international feed which went around the world. Try complaining to the promoters of the fight and the producers of the feed.

Bob Sheridan is an experienced commentator and has apparently covered more fights than anybody else. It's not as if a complete joker was pulled off the streets.

You seem to expect the BoxNation team to know what Bob Sheridan was going say before he said it.

When they use John Rawling and Paul Smith next time you'll probably moan about that.

I used three points in my email -

First I thanked Boxnation for giving us such good coverage of boxing that we wouldn't ordinarily have.

Second I mentioned how deplorable Sheridan's performance was (and asked them not to throw the 'well he's covered some high-profile bouts before, many of them' argument). I mentioned the bias and the nut-hugging, though I phrased it more eloquently.

Third I mentioned how Steve Bunce dominates too much of any broadcast they have and that he needs to shut the **** up and let someone else have an opinion - though I phrased it more eloquently.

They have my landline number, last time I had a query (payment) they rung me up and discussed.

I would fire my email across the board, but it wasn't from my personal email address it was from an online form.

If they email me back I'll post it.

I don't like either, but beggars can't be choosers. I don't think Rawling or Smith's performance could be anything as close to as bad as Sheridan's though.

If I had access to HBO I'd watch/listen to them (though I prefer Sho broadcasts), but I don't because I live in England, and we're stuck between a rock and a hard place - i.e. Sky or Sheridan for the most part.

Sheridan has been commenting boxing before any of you scrubs were even born. He was spot on, cotto didnt do ANYTHING the entire fight. 2 rounds is being nice (6 and 8)

HBO crew was on cottos nuts

Just because he's been doing it a long time doesn't make him the greatest. The Bee-Gees have been releasing albums for years and they're still ****.

It wasn't that he was entirely wrong, it's just the extent as to which he blew Mayweather's trumpet and rubbished Cotto's efforts.

Did you see the Boxnation broadcast or are you surmising?

I would have rathered the regular boxnation crew commentate on the fight but it was sickening hearing the constant Floyd dick sucking that was going on.

I had the fight scored 117-112, giving Cotto the 3rd,6th,8th and a very close 9th even

Cotto may have well laid out the blueprint to beat Mayweather, work with a solid jab, corner mayweather at times then backpedal and let floyd chase you, something he is not used to doing. however sadly Miguel didnt apply his aggression effectively enough to beat floyd but a very solid effort.

That being said this gameplan wont be much use to someone like Pacquiao who fights from a southpaw stance and throws wild punches, If Pac comes forward then he is going to get countered to hell and back, I dont really think there is too much in this Myth about southpaws being Mayweathers kryptonite

i was watching the fight at 5am in the morning in the UK wanted to puke from the commentary. I rewatched the replay on boxnation and then didnt think it was so bad bc it was a slight imbellishment of the truth. Mayweather was excellent in there.

In fairness the guys in the BoxNation studio ripped the hell out of Sheridan after the fight. They also got in a few good shots at Merchant after his interview with Floyd

Cotto landed a left uppercut at the end of a round as he was getting warmed into the fight. Mayweather had blood pouring from his nose. "Colonel Bob" says something along the lines of "and Cotto misses with the uppercut".

When someone physically sees something that obvious happen, yet for whatever reason cannot justify it honestly with their words, it worries me.
