exactly, not everything mayweather does is pr

but if pacquiao builds a well and buys loads of boats for a small village and it goes public, hes a saint, not a pr hound

in reality both guys deserve props for giving back, it will obviously go public though. it doesn't make them pr hungry

merchant is old and looks to be going senile with it.. And this thread is a bit desperate - I mean who gives a **** what floyd fans think about it. A bit gay if you ask me..

No big deal. My Father used to tell me to do the same thing. It's supposedly the right thing to do or smart thing to do (even if you are not the one if full blame).

Personally, I didn't agree with him and only did it once because he told me to do it when I was a little kid. After that, if you didn't say you were sorry as well...**** you. I'll punch you harder next time in the mangina.

It wasn't until I became an adult, and found out that dealing with women is one of life's real parties because they can be some serious drama queens who can go on the verge of a breakdown and drink themselves into the coffin. So that's how I see this with Floyd and Merchant: Floyd's the Man, and Merchcant's the ***** who can't admit she was wrong as well. In fact, it's the bitches that tend to be more in the wrong but its the "Man" that for some reason, society puts it on them to stop the bleeding of the world and apologize :-( but I understand it. Sometimes you have to make the ***** happy in order to keep that ***** in circulation because even it doesn't make you happy, some sorry dick out there gets happy.

    Classy move by Floyd.

I think Floyd should start to follow the Old George Foreman method of just smiling, saying Thank You, and just walk off the stage when someone is being a dick. It's not worth it.
Be the Bigger Man from the start.

Apologising for saying something doesn't mean you may not be 'right' to have said it - or that other people are wrong to have agreed with what you said.

Larry Merchant is a tool. But should Floyd have the good grace not to openly call him a tool? sure. So he apologised, which is a nice thing to do. Story over then?

    :grouphug:grouphug:grouphug like always.

Floyd said if it takes him to be called a rich coward to not fight PAC then he's a rich coward.

    *****s: Floyds rich

Floyd said that he's a smart man and no money in this world will buy him his health if he has to face Pacquiao.

*****s: Stop running and ducking PAC / and it's all Arum fault.

You can check my history, and I stand by my comments...Floyd was wrong in how he handled it, but Merchant is a dickhead who brought that **** on himself. As evidence look how shitty his handling of the SSM post fight interview...dude has no respect or appreciation for the guys giving years of their life, yet he can't so much as muster a ****ing "Thank You" for Shane. Even though Shane has never been anything but respectful to HBO, his opponents, media, etc...dude has no ****ing class, and I think it's great that Floyd apologized, good for him, doesn't change the fact that Merchant is a dick and has no business on the broadcast when Kellerman is CLEARLY more knowledgable and better than he is.

Ever patch things up with a friend/acquaintance for the sake of being civil/ the good of everyone else? The apology was more for the sake of not continuing a grudge rather than indicating that he was wrong imo. It also saves a ton of hassle from a public relations point of view- It was affecting his relationship with HBO. It's a more sensible, mature way of handling matters.

I think it was more of a forgive and forget move even though Merchant was still taking shots at floyd during the fight "isnt it a bit embarrassing for someone like floyd who praises himself on his defence to get hit this often?"

Floyd showed some class there (even though the ******* came out with ****** ****ing bieber) and there was mutual respect shown between him and cotto during the bout, touching gloves when necessary and making it short lived instead of hugging and kissing for about 5 minutes

Was a good night of fights, Huck-Afolabi 2, Pulev-Dimitrenko, Canelo-Mosley and of course Cotto Mayweather.

Actually, didn't he say he apologized because he was the "bigger man"? Cringe worthy actually.
