Lol, so it's not you (due to the emoticon suggesting sarcasm)? What part of Pak'stan you from (you still live there, or were you just born there, or parents were from there?) I grew up in mainly Karachi, and spent a little time in Lahore, and Islamabad. . . Basically lived the first 12 years of my life there. . . It was in teh late 80's-mid/late 90's, and it was the most prosperous, peaceful time in Pak'stan history. . Bhutto was leading the country, and really improving things. . . Was a great time to be there. . . .
Im there right now and its a ****ing mess.. Security concerns through the roof, electricity cuts aplenty, water shortages...arghhhhh this is what happens when ****stan involves themselves in the wests war on terror.. 9/11 has damaged ****stan far more then two towers collapsing in NYC.. and the nerve some governments have for saying we give them billions, theyre not doing enough etc etc.. though the pak government is really corrupt and ****ed and deserves a lott of blame A month ago the city i was in couldnt use mobiles or internet for a whole day for security reasons as there was some army function going on..ridiculous
No that in the pic is me, they got it off my twitter. Born in UK my parents from Karachi Sindh. :good Good to hear..
Yeah, I remember after 9/11 the government workers weren't allowed to have their family there anymore. . . it's complete BS with the whole after-effects of the "war on terror" (yeah, right. . . ) . . I agree, they are suffering more than just about any country because of it. THose G'damned drone strikes need to stop - killing more innocent civilians than terrorist threats. I was kinda proud of Pak'stan for not compelte kissing USA's ass, though (like Israel does). . . I think in the next decade, or so, things will smooth back out. . . Or I hope so, because I'd really like to go back and visit sometime. . .
