Floyd gave the fans a "toe to toe fight" will that happen when he meets Pacquiao?

Can you give an example of this occuring? Where an opponent managed to get Pac tired by letting Pac beat on him against the ropes?

    Pac is a REAL puncher.

Think about it like this. Mosley took Alvarez shots all night. One shot from Pacquaio, and he was running for the hills.

Um yes he has to. LOL you can't fight pac and be stationary because pac will just throw and throw and wear you down. Marquez once said that you can't stay still against pac and you have to be constantly moving.

Here lies your problem. Floyd doesn't let anyone beat on him against the ropes. He picks their shots off by rolling and counters.

All this, except he wont' stop Pacquaio because if Pacquaio does get hurt, he'll get on his legs, and Mayweather won't risk trying to rush a still very dangerous capable counterpuncher like Pacquaio.

The big question is, does Mayweather have his legs?

Floyd can cut the ring off if Manny gets on his bike and Floyd will be patient and time him.

    Right, and I get that.

But Manny is an explosive, rib cracking puncher, with quick feet, a huge looping southpaw uppercut/hook that will inevitably crash into Mayweather consistantly as he ducks against the ropes.

Additionally, Pac has enough foot speed to jump to his right, and unload combinations on a still turned sideways Mayweather.

And it doesn't take that many shots.

The last place Mayweather wants to be against an explosive, extremelly fast and accurate puncher like Manny, who can catch Mayweather duckin down, is against the ropes.

Mayweather needs to keep the fight in the center of the ring, outbox him, don't take risks, and do enough to win.

Uh, no because that's part of my ****ing point? :blood

Nobody has yet caused Pac to blow his wad by simply letting him go nuts as they lean back against the ropes and slip/block. Floyd is adept at that.

Eventually if he's dumb enough to just keep attacking without letting up but also without making any headway (and what else is he going to do? Leave Floyd there on the ropes and not come forward to attack? Even if Freddie cautions him not to take the bait, he's going to. It's in his nature..), he's liable to tire. Human beings don't have limitless energy.

    If he's hurt?

I mean, how long you expect Manny to stay hurt?

The last thing Floyd wants to do is walk Manny down. People forget how adept Manny is at counterpunching. You don't walk him down.

That's the last thing you do, because Manny has the quickness and speed to take advantage of Floyd when he's most vulnerable, throwing punches.

Mayweather needs to keep the fight in the center of the ring, be cautious, don't throw too many punches, and do just enough to win each round.

Don't touch the ropes, don't get aggressive.

Just be smart. Manny can put you down with one punch. Look at what he did to Mosley.

Alvarez hit Mosley with everything he had, and didn't come close to droppin him.

One strike from Manny, made Mosley run...

Pacquioa goes all out against the guard of Clottey and he did not gassed up.. But he can't get a clean look..
    This content is protected
Its because Clottey doesn't want to open up.. As a result Pac won convincingly just by ring activity alone..

I know Floyd would land that straight right hand all night long, but you think that's enough to keep Pacquioa away? :nono Once Mayweather opens up, its the perfect opportunity for Pac to attack.. :bbb

So you don't think that Manny will just jump to his left, catch Floyd turned sideways and start throwing combinations from multiple angles that NO defense can block?

I mean, it's not like he hasn't done it every opportunity he gets...

So what makes you think it's a good idea to test your theory like this? It's a good way to get ****ed up. That loopin left uppercut/hook is not something Mayweather is tryin to get hit with.

You gotta keep this **** in the center of the ring.

You don't walk him down the way Margarito walks him down. You walk him down with educated pressure behind a snapping quick jab and Floyd has that. All Floyd has to do is fight at long range and on the inside when its there. Stay out of mid range and make it easy. I don't see him brawling with Manny and he shouldn't brawl with anyone for that matter.

I don't think you should walk him down at all. History has shown that you need to make Pac chase you and use angles to beat him.

    Why walk him down?

    Pac is a counterpuncher.
