    Marion Wilson
    George Chuvalo

what makes floyds chin so great is the fact that it's been hit far less than most. iron chins are a myth. anyone hit on the right spot...at the right time will drop.

  6. In relation to the notion that Pac is always off balance, Pac really should be knocked down 1-2X per fight. In relationship to the notion that Floyd is always in perfect position, Floyd theoretically shouldn't have almost gotten KD'd by Hatton and Judah, especially when you factor in his defensive wizardry.

Don't even try to step to this. I can guarantee you that I am far more educated than you.

His chin is very solid and so are Cotto's jabs. This does not prove anything, not even when he buckled his legs from that str8 right following a jab to the body in round 2 from Mosley. Maybe it proves that he can take some very hard punches. But the main thing is that he desn't take em a lot cause his defense is that good.

******s. He didn't almost go down and wasn't hurt. He got timed with a jab while leaning and throwing a jab and was off balance.

Well, even an iron chinned warrior can end up in ***** street, but it'll only happen after taking a prolonged, substantial beating from a huge puncher, for example Floyd (average to decent chin) was put on baby horse legs by one Mosley right and then held on for dear life, while Margarito (great chin) took like a hundred of those before going down. Floyd's jaw may not be fragile glass, but it ain't granite either.

Can you think of one legendary iron chinned warrior that was ever rocked from a jab?

that particular shot didnt really hurt floyd, doesnt mean he has a great chin though. he has an average chin that is well protected by great defense and great conditioning. the guy does what he has to do in order to not make his chin a huge liability, props to him.
