Apparantly Lamont tested positive for synthetic testosterone.

Peterson was found to have synthetic testosterone in his system according to tests conducted by VADA in March.

TBH this is very bad news for Khan.

You can never prove Lamont was juicin' for the first fight and now Khan doesn't get the chance to reverse his loss. He can only go on circumstantial evidence. Not to mention losing all the momentum for this rematch.

Team Khan will be all over this though.

I don't condone drug use but Khan still got beat by Lamont, he was not superhuman in the first fight.

 

they must have been tested before the 1st fight mate so i doubt that he was jucing it in the first fight


can see a 12 month ban for doping and being stripped by the ibf in the next few days and fight will be called off

 

They'll draw parallels with the Cotto-Margarito fight. Everyone pretty much thinks that Margarito had loaded gloves before the first fight now.

 

yeah but thats the thing we all assume that margo had loaded wraps and he more than likily did but im sure there be's testing before near enough every high profile fight....

be funny if khan comes out giving it all that about drugs cheats and theres his gym mate whos refusing to urine and blood samples if he fights mayweather

 

im not having a pop at khan its all his nut huggers and PR team will be feeding on this for months like they did with the hatman and still do it will be the same and we will be sick of hearing it

 

This is bad for boxing, that's all I can say. Gives Khan more room for excuses and he's right to, just can't be bothered to hear it and claim Peterson was a cheat and thats why he lost, if he wasn't testing positive he would've won clearly, he felt his stamina was unnaturally good, blahblahblah.

If this is true, **** Peterson for flushing his win down the toilet. It would've been good for Khan to get the win back and get back on track but overall, it doesn't impact his career too much but there'll always be a question mark there for good or bad now. He can hopefully move onto bigger fights and maybe 147 in his next fight.

Disappointing that Lamont got caught out, let's not pretend there are only a select few trying to gain an advantage using illegal subtances. Still, Peterson will always have black spot next to his name. I don't think that TRT helped him implement the gameplan to fight Khan, but it's clear to see that this time round he wasn't as confident.
