Yeah, it's funny how people will try their hardest to justify, and believe some excuses for certain boxers, but others, they want to condemn without any proof whatsoever. . . :huh IF he really did test positive for PED, then I refuse to believe it is anything other than what it is. . He wanted a competitive edge, and did what many, many other athletes have done. . . It's not the end of the world for him, it's happened before, and it'll happen again. . . I'll talk **** about him for a few months, and then I'll move on, and give him his second chance.
According to the VADA statements it was a synthetic (manufactured) anabolic steroid... what we don't know is wich kind. That's far from getting high on a trip to Amsterdam.
I used the term "robbery" very losely in the OP tbh. I've watched it twice now and scored it for Khan both times. Didn't see too many respected posters on here scoring it for Peterson either.
I think all boxers juice, just like all football and baseball players do. Some get caught, some don't.
So if he says he didn't, you'll believe him? May I ask why you would be willing to give some athletes the benefit of the doubt, and not others? How many athletes have said this? So many excuses. . It is what it is. . Doesn't mean Peterson can't get respect back - it's gonna be a longer, and harder road, but he can still get back on top. . I'm not the type who doesn't believe in second chances - everybody deserves a second chance. . . He'll prolly be suspended for 6 months. . When he comes back, test him thoroughly, and let him prove himself. . . I'll talk **** about him, and make fun of him for a few months, and then move on. . . lets see where he goes from here . . Everybody makes mistakes. . everybody. . We are just human.
I think there's more that do then we'll ever know, but I still don't think "all athletes" do. . I'd say about 1/3 have, or still do use some sort of banned substance. . . It is what it is - you're clean until you test positive.
