yep....look how fast floyd vs. an arum fighter got made as soon as the arum fighter left arum

 

if you're a realist, you should have realized by now that this fight, since late 2009 was the biggest fight of this generation between the top two guys which are also both the top draws and 50/50 is just a fair for a fight of this magnitude.

when did you start thinking that this should not be 50/50? when floyd started changing his tune about the split? most floyd fans approves the 50/50 split before. what happened now that you guys don't want to see the fight if floyd won't get more than 50/50?

 

Why aren't you specifying what 50/50 is? 50/50 of Top Ranks purse? So Floyd and Pac will each make 6-7 million?

 

Because Floyd is probably going to make 3 times more against Cotto than Pac ever has in his career.

 

Look at the recent proposed fight with Marquez and Judah. According to Arum, Zab "priced himself out" and now they are back looking at in-house options only.

That's true; gauging corruption is a difficult thing I guess.

But I still don't understand how this fight is being negotiated on Floyd's part based on Pacquiao's business relationship with his promoter. Nobody has a copy of his contract with Top rank, and no fight in history (to my knowledge) has ever included a fighter's individual stake in a purse as a factor in splitting revenue.

 

this is ******ed. how would a ***** think that pac is only making 6-7 million per fight when jmm and mosley were guaranteed 5-6 million already? arum already explained the published NSAC documents.

 

PUGA read brah. Relax. We as fans are looking at this from an emotional stand bc we want the fight. Floyd and Arum are looking at this from a business stand point. That is all. You are asking us questions that we have already answered. Now if you look at it business wise then you will see that Koncz and Manny have no ****ing idea what they are talking about which is why Arum said that anyone offering deals with no authority need to shut up.

Now look at the facts kid. 60/40 split. As a fan I am fine with that or a 50/50 split. Arum and Floyd are not and Manny wouldn't be either after Arum educated his dumb ass on it. If Manny gets 40 then Bob only gets his 25% out of that 40 which means he makes less money off this mega fight than he would matching Manny against a Top Rank fighter.

Manny would have to give Arum, Koncz, Roach, camp fees, taxes, hotel room fees and more. Manny would end up with 12 % off of this mega fight if he lost. Now please prove me wrong.

 

source or can you at least have a simple computation? pac was guaranteed $22M for the JMM fight and has some PPV upside and other percentage from other revenues.

Manny loses 20% of his cut to Arum, 10% to Roach, 10% to Koncz who works for Arum, and then the rest is given to him in advance with a penalty most likely from Arum.
