The judges, the vast majority of the press row, most publications, the majority of the public. You know, just those people.

I don't think Floyd will lay on the ropes against Pacquaio, or Martinez.

It is not an ideal position against them.

    If those fights happen...

Well on my scorecards and of many people (cotto winning 3 rounds) that would be 3 for a draw and 4 for the win...so yes, it's conceivable if he could've sustained that same 8th round activity. It certainly wouldn't have hurt his chances.

:rofl I may need to take a vacation in Klitshko land for a little
boy, what 3-4 rounds after the 8th are you talking about? That'd mean Cotto swept the last 4 rounds and defeats the whole stupidass point you're trying to make
 and how am I butthurt. I'm (we're) laughing at you.

    Remember when I said this?

ok, if you were a judge, I guess it's possible then :smooch

On my scorecard, if Marquez lost another round against Pacquiao, he still would have won

It is common knowledge that Cotto fades. He fades in EVERY fight. His last fight against Margarito...

He faded. Margarito was coming on strong.

It's not news that Cotto fades; however, Mayweather was winning rounds when Cotto was full of energy. If Cotto sustained that energy, he could have taken more rounds and there is a very slim possibility he could have knocked Mayweather out, but realistically, the outcome would be the same.

Regardless, everyone should already know that Cotto fades.

    Really dude?

Told you. People only gas when they fight Floyd.. Amazing how Shane gassed against Floyd but could run around the ring all fight against Pac. Guess he wasn't properly conditioned for the Floyd fight as well. I just don't get why all these top ranked fighters don't properly prepare for Floyd but do for everyone else.. :silly

Gander have you ever boxed? I am not talking about some backyard ****. I am talking about in the gym?

Floyd was landing some right hands to the body all night on the inside and they took a toll on Cotto. Cotto was in great shape.

I thought it was pretty clear that Mayweather took the end of the 8th round off and let Cotto punch himself out a bit while he leaned on the ropes. It's pretty dumb to think that Mayweather would have continued to do that for the next four rounds if it wasn't working.

Cotto didn't find some magical secret to success in that round that he just couldn't re-capture in the following rounds. He simply threw punches when the other guy let him, and in the remaining rounds the other guy decided not to let him do that anymore.

Fighters do have opponents, it's pretty stupid to consider their performance completely divorced from what their opponent is doing. We'd all be world champions if the sport was shadow-boxing.
