Dont you get it? It provides ENTERTAINMENT and EXCITEMENT. Simple. We PAY to be entertained and excited. This entertains and excites us.
Watch Boxing is what entertains me. Regardless of the style......and I always will prefer to watch Top Level fighters.....Chisora and Haye are average (in comparison with the real greats of today and from the Past), nothing else.....
I don't really care what Pope Wlad I thinks. I'm sure his fight with Thompson will entertain his fans.
Whatever. The bloke was laughing his ****ing ass off whilst claiming "it was a disgrace for the sport". Everyone in the media is claiming the moral high ground on this fight and it's ****ing ridiculous.
watching boxing is what entertains me as well, but I prefer a great matchup to a predictable, shitty matchup, and that's not strange. chisora and haye are good heavyweights in comparison with the real, very questionably, great heavyweights of today.
does the british media not have guys who stir the pot and challenge the predominant opinion of media types? like a british version of americans, skip bayless or stephen a. smith? someone who actually states that they don't think it was a disgrace, and that it in fact, brought attention to the sport which is a good thing?
But the hype for this fight seems enormously exaggerated, vastly exaggerated !!!! Chisora and Haye are still only two fighters between the top 10 in a weak division (And Haye not even that IMO).... Am I wrong ?? Answer me !
I mean, yes, you are wrong in my opinion. I dont think this fight is enormously exaggerated. I think it's a genuine grudge match. we all know chisora will come to fight since he always does. the only questionable part is haye's fighting spirit in this one, and I think he will come to lay waste to chisora, since he thinks chisora is a class below him in and out of the ring, not to mention he has to redeem himself following the klitschko fiasco and "toegate". all of these things considered, I think it makes for a highly entertaining, high profile british heavyweight war...so yes, I do think you're wrong and will continue to think so.
Chisora is just a coming forward unskilled fighter......like many out there......he is not great at anything, his resume so far is very very weak, he lost to an average prospect like Tyson Fury (imo an awful fighter)........ Now Haye did some decent things at CW years and years ago......beat some crap opponents at HW, lost to Wlad.....and that´s it. So I can´t see how this fight is deserving such attention..... Oh, because both are talking trash and they had a brawl, honestly I really don´t care about that.......because like I said, they aren´t so good to make me watch them with enthusiasm because I like to see boxing inside the ring...... I don´t mean wars or action fights only......boxing is an appreciation sport more than any other avaliable.... It´s a fight at a weak division between fighters that aren´t the best in that weak division.......that´s the way I see it.....
Wlad is right but freaks shows are good for HW boxing. Tyson when he came out of jail was a total freak show too but it's whatever gets bums on seats and sells PPV's.
wlad is full of it. people loved the division when tyson ruled it. these 2 nut-jobs give the division life it so much needs
