i'm wondering whether anyone else would like to be lied to like this? this sense of pride for their countryman's achievement has the potential to explode back into their face if they decide to brag online or in person about him to anyone knowledgeable in boxing. & like someone previously said, afghans have a lot of pride, which makes it even worse that one of their own deceives them like this.

white lie or not, i know i wouldn't want to be tricked and find out that someone i looked up to, is a complete fraud.

Henry Copper (rip) was a national hero in the UK, Micky Ward in the US, never world champions but still hero.
