I don't know of any sane Mayweather supporters that wouldn't want this fight.

Either at 160 or nothing. Moving Martinez to 154 kills the intrigue for me.

It'll never happen. Floyd's going back to 147. He didn't look too good at 154 and came in as a welterweight.

150 kills it for me, and that was DiBella's suggestion along with throwing 20/80 out there. Sergio makes 154 with no sweat. Floyd's not a particularly big welterweight as it is.

I do want to see that fight.

But if I were hypothetically defending the opposite stance, I might say:

For the same reasons that I don't want one of my other favorite fighters, Kazuto Ioka, to move up two divisions and take on Hernan Marquez: divisions exist in boxing.

For a site that supposedly has hardcore boxing fans, yall really focus on fights that are not realistic. It's basically a video game fight.

    1) Floyd is not gonna come up in weight unless your a draw. Martinez is no draw

    2) It's been years since Martinez has even fought at 154. I know people here seem to believe he is a small MW, but dude is a legit 160 lber now. It's like saying Floyd is a small WW, but he's a legit 147 lber at this point in his career. His own promoter said he will not move down in weight unless it's a Mayweather/Pac fight, because he does not want to go through that grind of making weight

    3) Oscar actually marched down to 147 as a sign he was truly interested in making the fight with Manny. How about Martinez do the same & have a fight at 150 before fighting Mayweather like Oscar did with Forbes?

I'd watch the fight like anyone else, but why focus on a fight that will never happen? Martinez has became the new Paul Williams

I want it but I wouldn't blame Floyd if he chose not to fight a middleweight.
