I think this would be a great fight but I think Canelo wins in under 9

Yea, Ortiz is a huge Welterweight, but that doesn't automatically mean he'd be a force at JMW. The way Canelo puts his punches together with his accuracy, Ortiz will not mentally hold up to that pounding (no homo).

Jose Cotto almost knocked out Canelo... The Vicious one would brutally KO him!

Let's just hope Victor doesnt headbutt Canelo, or quit when he gets knocked down and start pondering why he is taking a beatings like this at a young age. :deal

No, he actually didn't. Canelo was never close to getting Ko'd.

Ok ok I'll give you that but he was buzzed pretty bad! Gomez was out boxing Canelo for a few rounds... What does that tell you? :D

It'd be a good fight. I'd begin to take Saul seriously if he beats guys like this.

Canelo is out boxed at times, it's one of his flaws. Good thing Ortiz isn't a great boxer either.

think about it. ortiz can easily make 154. he came in at 160 plus against floyd. that fight obviously didn't turn out too well for him but he looked strong and pushed the action. win or lose, alvarez-ortiz is an exciting matchup. we all know what alvarez brings to the table after this past weekend.

This fight would be a slugfest showing the contrasts between technical skills and athleticism.

Canelo gets the job done inside the distance.

    No sucker punch required.
