Bad move by Showtime. Seem to be chasing bad money, pinning all their hopes on Bute-Ward. What's the point of being the network that aired all of Dawson's and Ward's big/championship fights in their young careers, only to not get the payoff of putting them in the ring together (which appears could happen on another network)? Especially when your network had investing so heavily in those divisions (168/175) over the past few years (S6 tourney; Pascal; Cloud).
:huhBut why did he choose to precisely do that (wait for Bute to face ''a quality opponent'') after all his ''tough fights'', despite stating before the Froch bout he thought facing Bute was a ''must'' in order to ''clean out the division''? That guy is so inconsistent he's a ****ing parody of himself.atsch I say let the ***** wait a bit and then he can fight Bute.
Well, I can't answer that. I don't like to make excuses for other grown men, but I think having a broken hand does factor into the equation. I do agree he should fight Bute and clear out the division, but.... Bute seems to be moving forward, Ward should be able to as well.
I think we can agree on that. But just say it: ''I broke my hand and I need more time'', instead of that ''he's not worthy'' ****.
Do you think there's any point for Bute-Ward if Bute lose to Froch ? so that rematch clause would matter ?
i really want to see that fight. i want someone who can really push ward to his limits and dawson is a harder fight that bute. the equivalent of floyd vs sergio
Fans would love to see SOB Ward fight Dawson, but Showtime and Ward know they would get knocked out, or that fight was rejected by them, SOB also refused to fight Bute..................
bums all of them, i think it would be a great match on some boxing ****.not a war or a slug fest.but damn it dont have to be ppv.just throw it on showtime ill watch it.
I'm talking about Bute winning being a forgone conclusion. He would be fighting in Froch's backyard ya know.
