Love the way Maidana just strolls off after getting the knockdown. So casual.

Ward dropped several fighters with single body shots (left hook) and won a few fights by single body shot KO as well.

Courage also broke some of Maskaev's ribs with the loudest bodyshots I've ever heard in a heavyweight fight.

I remember Trinidad stopping someone with a nasty body shot... Maybe Thiam.

Orlando Canizales shows how to do it at 13:35. One of the nastiest sounding body shots I've heard. It definitely broke some ribs.

    Three months after

typed and submitted this, our good friend TGA did upload the conclusion of Patterson-Green, and here it is, at 8:00 on the footage. (It's also now available in its entirety on youtube as well.):

Not a great angle visually, but man, you can sure hear the impact! Sounds something like this (at 4:15):

Here's a different British Pathe newsreel angle of that last knockout from behind Floyd, showing that this wasn't actually just the single right which was the only one seen clearly from the fixed camera perspective of the youtube and television audience (hence the value of a good ringside announcer for articulating multiple blows), but was in truth part of a blistering combination to the body capping off an attrition beating. (Come to think of it, is there a better body shot knockout combination we have footage of in world title competition?) London takes a while longer to regain his feet than Green did, demonstrating the greater debilitation of Patterson's devastating barrage. At 1:10:

When it comes to body work, whether via single shot or a smacking barrage of withering fire, Floyd could definitely bring it downstairs with either hand, and not have to take a back seat to anybody in that department.
