nelson fought at a time when it was extremely easy to get away with taking peds and had the body of a comicbook superhero.

peds are rife in sport, especially boxing. people don't want to believe it though. nigel benn admits stealing, dealing drugs and hitting women but denies taking steroids and people actually buy it!

boxers choosing not to take peds when they know their opponent who may seriously hurt them and reduce their earning potential can do it without fear of being caught makes no sense.

 

Why admit that list and deny steroids ?

 

other than the mclellan issue fighters and sportsmen in general take great pride in their achievements and admitting they were sporting frauds would be a massive blow to their ego.
