Because of Watson career being cut short He`ll float between 1-5, He schooled Benn indirectly Beat Eubank in their 1st fight (at least in my eyes) and was schooling Eubank in the 2nd fight. Steve Collins has said he rated Watson higher than Eubank and Benn

His wins were all at 160 - Middleweight.

    This is 168 - Supermiddle.

Yes his wins were @ middlewight your right but he was destroying Eubank in their second fight which was@Super Middleweight, if it were`nt for the miracle punch he may have ruled the Super Middleweight division

If you want to make a case for him based on one fight, that ultimately he lost, you crack on buddy.

I get your point , its just too black and white for my liking. Say the miracle punch didnt happen, what would Watson have become? A super Middlweight Champion, and his career would have continued, Just cos he only had one fight at super middleweight doesnt mean he would nt have done well and held his own @super Middle Weight.

I think its a pretty good list, Eubank, Benn, Collins could be any way round and Froch is defo in there!

Fair list and the top 5 are correctly placed i think. Maybe Benn and Eubank are interchangeable for 2 + 3.

Eubank and Calzaghe both have fantastic SMW resumes. I think this Eubank won the first Collins fight gets a bit overplayed. What rounds do you think Eubank won in that fight?
At SMW Eubank didnt beat Benn. Its a tough one to call. But I would say Calzaghe looked overall far more impressive and I favour Calzaghes SMW resume to Eubanks.

Rocchigiani was a good win for Eubank, but i dont think it was a better win than Kessler at SMW
Holmes was coming off a loss and had not fought for a while and not better than the Lacy win
Malinga had already been beaten by other decent SMWs and not a better win to me than Mitchell
Wharton was also a good win but here mentioned in the same breath as Starie. I like Wharton and rate him, but he could be outboxed and lost to Reid who Calzaghe beat.

It is a bit of what you like really because I expect you to jump on this post, though its not meant to prompt a big reaction

    Kessler a SMW world champ
    Lacy a SMW world champ
    Veit a SMW world champ
Eubank a world rated former SMW world champ
Reid a world rated former SMW world champ who looked unlucky years later against WBA/IBF SMW champ Ottke
Woodhall a world rated former SMW world champ
Brewer a world rated former SMW world champ
Mitchell a world rated former SMW world champ who had just looked unlucky to many when losing a SD to Ottke mentioned above in a unification
Not to mention beating many other top 10 rated SMWs in Starie, Manfredo, Bika, Mkertchyan who went on to beat undefeated 26-0 European champ Chanet, Sheika
