Is Floyd really slowing down or a cold & hand injury to blame?

He is in his mid 30s.. Of course he is not at his peak anymore.. But his work ethic, legendary skillset and toughness could keep him in the game a couple of more years..

This bout saw a clear difference in his handspeed, particularly his one punch speed. Something he has been able to maintain even when his combination punching speed was slowly deteriorating.

I'll say he looked better in this fight than in the Ortiz fight, but he looked his age. I'm glad Floyd fought Cotto now and not last September. I still believe he would have won though and he's still the best fighter today

Floyd...or any Boxer...always look spectacular against the "No Hopers" - the guys without the speed, power and skill to compete.

However, Floyd ran into Miguel Cotto - who is not a "No Hoper" - and you saw the real Floyd.

I agree I think he looked much better in his fight with cotto than Ortiz. Although he completely outclassed ortiz, he looked sluggish.

Give Cotto some credit, too. Mayweather still looks sharp, he just wasn't able to have completely his way like with the much smaller JMM or shot Mosley.

He's slowing down. He need to stay in the center of the ring and fight on his back foot a little more.

He still looked good to me. People are forgetting that he was wearing 10oz gloves in there and Cotto fought an excellent fight as well.
