If his fight with cotto truly generates 2 mil + ppv buys and it winds up being 100% true that Lamont Peterson juiced he will be completely justified in his requests for a pacquiao bout

Once again the ball is in arum/pacs corner while may is holding the wild card

Pacquiao will have a hard time getting 50/50, but a $40M flat fee won't be acceptable. However, I'm sure if both sides actually sit down with eachother to negotiate, they can come to an agreement.

Shame arum is too interested in calling people nazis to actually want to negotiate

2 million ppv buys is impressive but in order to generate the largest amount he needs Pac just like Pac needs him. They're assholes and they need each other which really sucks for the fans. I'm also a little confused about your LP comment, I don't think anyone was denying that some boxers are on PEDs...it's not like Pac and LP train in the same gym or what have you. I guess I'm just not sure what one thing has to do with another.

Mutual rematch clause. They owe us at least that.

This part is key. There is a reason you mentioned how much Cotto got before PPV. Cotto is going to receive a percentage of the PPV revenue. So why shouldn't Pacquiao? Mayweather offered him $40M but, no cut of the PPV. That's not going to work.

$40m million plus 10% of PPV would probably equal about 50-60 million. Sounds good to me.

Yeah, but he didn't offer him any percentage of the PPV. Even still, a 10% cut is way too low.

Its sad that egos is what might prevent this fight from ever happening. Somebody is going to have to be the bigger man, but Floyd's $40 mil offer is unfair. I've always been part of the 50-50 crowd, but if FMJ-Cotto breaks records, which I think it will...it should be around 55-45 for Mayweather. Even with that, Pac might make more than $40 mil.

I don't think he is referring to that. Mayweather has other demands that pac refuses to meet. Then again I don't expect your reading comprehension to be that high so i'll let it slide. Sometimes you gotta hold the worst poster on the forum with a standard a bit lower than everyone else. Continue on buddy :good

Floyd isn't going to agree to 50/50 because Pac will then tie May for the largest guaranteed purse in boxing history. That's the same reason he won't agree to 45/45 and 10 to the winner. He feels like he is the De La Hoya of this era and doesn't want to allow anyone to approach his records. His logic is that he can get $32MM without Pac and Pac can't come close to that without him, so why give him anymore than $40MM. Pac can't get close to $32MM any other way with any other fighter. Floyd holds the leverage.

I'm not saying it's equivalent (Floyd may think it is), but would prime moneymaking De La Hoya offer 50/50 to anyone. Nope! I can understand where he's coming from.
