I don't know why you're coming out with utter nonsense as if it's fact. He fought Carl Davis Drumond in between Wladimir and Skelton. Between the Drumond fight and the would be Valuev fight that would have only been 3 or 4 months out of the ring.

 

Not to mention that Chagaev and Valuev had a date and venue lined up until White Tyson's medical test results showed hepatitis. The WBA demoted him to their #1 challenger position after he signed on to face Wladimir, as prior to that there was still time designated to come to an agreement on a new date and venue.

The entire business was shady. When Chagaev was injured he was declared 'Champion In Recess' and Valuev fought for the 'vacant' WBA World Heavyweight Title - when usually he'd have fought for an 'Interim' title.

Chagaev effectively decided to fight the recognised World Heavyweight Champion - after Haye pulled out 'injured' - rather than a fighter he'd already beaten. If the WBA had agreed to sanction the bout then he'd have kept his 'Champion In Recess' tag going into it, but they didn't.

 

What happened to the old av? Wickio's photoshop work is excellent but that 'Glass Shatters' av was awe inspiring.
