    I agree...Sergio should get the fight...he said 80/20 and that is a fair deal...anyone know Sergio's high payday?:huh

Finances aren't really an issue to me.

I think it's a fair and reasonable deal given the circumstances.

Why is the finance so important. Don't you think it's robbery in the sense that it's not only an embarrasment to his opponent, but it's unfair? I guess the ball is in Floyd's court so he may do as he wish, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with his stance for me to want the fight.

  4. Floyd will fight Khan in November, Khan will fight a welterweight contender in June, someone who is made for Khan's style to make Khan look spectacular at Welterweight.
Floyd and Khan will fight because although Khan isn't P4P here in Britain that fight would make a serious amount of money, never mind in america, Floyd will beat Khan and say "I beat Pacquiao's stablte mate, he couldn't touch me"

It's important because you'd be asking one guy to take a paycut in certain cases.

For instance, Mayweather is going to end up making approx. 55 million with Pacquiao.....Pacquiao has a career high payday of 22.5 million.

Let's assume Floyd and Pac split 100 million dollars...Floyd would get 50 million and take a paycut while Pac would more than double his high payday of 22.5 million.

Why should I allow that as the fighter, who already has the record for biggest purse?

Why should I allow someone to dictate to me, what I'm going to get, when I am the one who breaks records without you (Pacquiao)?

Floyd made 45 million with Ortiz and 40 million with Mosley...again..Manny has a career high of 22.5 million, and his career high guarantee is 7.4 million.

So Manny should take his career high payday in 40 million, while Floyd only earns about 5-10 million more than his career high payday if he takes a 60/40 to the winner...

Pacquiao is said to be getting 7.4 million with Bradley (probably less, but let's give him the "botd" and say he'll get what he got for Cotto and Marquez 3) and Floyd just made 32 million as his guarantee..

Taking a paycut is a bad business move when your opponent will get almost 2 times anything he has ever made. :deal

School is out...bell just rung for ya.:hi: So what's your answer to this? Or are you going to act like a typical ******* and just throw insults at the poster, so you can avoid the argument?:think

What about when you factor in all the money that Mayweather made Pacquaio lose due to his steriod allegations?

Also, what about the fact that Floyd said he would fight Pacquaio and he talked all that **** in the process?

I don't give a **** about finances. From what I read, up until last weekend, Pacquaio is the PPV king. He may not make the most money, but he brings in the biggest numbers.

That's what it said in the RING magazine.

So why don't you want the fight? And why do you care how much money they make?

Why do you want to pay $100 for a PPV?

how is pacquiao even being discussed in this? pac could barely touch jmm and jmm got whooped bad by floyd.

martinez is his toughest. he should fight martinez then call it a day. there's no one left worthy to fight.

you think it is...yea ok...i understand that.

But it isn't though..one guy takes a paycut at 50/50 while the other guy gets more than 2x the amount he has ever made.

Floyd's career high guarantee before PPV profits is 32 million.

Pac has a career high guarantee of 7.4 million before PPV profits.

The lawsuit is irrelevant...it has 0 to do with anything.

Floyd said he would fight Manny and he will, IF Manny takes a career high payday.

Again, these 2 items you listed have 0 to do with the purse split itself.

Would you like to look at the numbers for common opponents...here they are for ya

    De La Hoya-Maywetaher 2,400,000
    De La Hoya Pacquiao 1,200,000

    Hatton-Mayweather 920,000
    Hatton-Pacquiao 850,000

    Marquez-Mayweather 1,005,000
    Marquez-Pacquiao 3 1,450,000

    Mosley-Mayweather 1,450,000
    Mosley-Pacquiao 1,150,000
There is your common opponents above. WITHOUT MIGUEL, which is expected to do close to 2 million...FLOYD AVERAGES ALMOST 300,000 MORE BUYS PER COMMON OPPONENT...That is almost 25% more of what Manny is doing in there common opponents.

Let's look at the COMMON FACTOR in De La Hoya now.

    MAYWEATHER

    De La Hoya-Maywetaher 2,400,000

    Hatton-Mayweather 920,000

    Marquez-Mayweather 1,005,000

    Mosley-Mayweather 1,450,000

    Ortiz-Mayweather 1,250,000

    PACQUIAO

    De La Hoya Pacquiao 1,200,000

    Hatton-Pacquiao 850,000

    Pacquiao Cotto 1,250,000

    Pacquiao Clottey 750,000

    Pacquiao Margarito 1,150,000

    Mosley-Pacquiao 1,150,000

    Marquez-Pacquiao 3 1,450,000

Again, Floyd averages almost 300,000 buys than Manny in this area too. (280k to be almost exact).

I don't care how much money they make..I am a boxing fan, on a boxing website, discussing items related to boxing...

Not sure where you getting this $100 for a PPV from?:huh Nobody said that....never once did I say that..yea your fault.

So now what are you going to say?

diamond eye, finances are important as the purse is the reason why pac walked away from the neg. he's asking for 50-50 which sounded fine before but with all the numbers and momentum floyd's been on, there's no way pac should even be asking for 50-50 now

What if Mayweather lowerd the guranteed money offered though? Instead of offering him 40mil guranteed, why not offer 20mil with a 50-50 split?

Good post really...Manny should counter with that....He didn't though...he just keeps saying 50/50...while Arum says 45-45-10 to the winner....while Koncz says 60/40 to the winner.

They aren't going to leave the purse up to the judges. But what would Floyd's guarantee be then? 20 million would be almost 3 times anything Pac has made..Pac's high guarantee is 7.4 million..Floyd's high guarantee is 32 million...

    Hold up.

So ya'll don't want to see the fight? I mean, honestly, why does anyone give a **** about the numbers?

    I don't give a ****. Honestly...I don't.

I'm not like SDfinest who wants to pay $200 a PPV.

    I don't wanna pay ****.

These mother ****ers could make $20 for all I give a damn.

All I know is Floyd talked all that **** about how he was gonna make the fight and said it hundreds of times, and the fight's not made.

The ball is in his court.

50/50 is a fair deal to me.

I'm not their accountant. I don't give a **** about all that bull****.

I wanna see the fight. And if Floyd has gotta give 50/50 so he can earn $70 million instead of $60 million, I don't give a ****.

    ****...

Ya'll mother ****ers are makin me sick.
