To become Trout's mandatory so that Trout didn't have options on his next fight when Mundine beat hi..........oh wait.

You contradict your own opening statement.

If he hasnt got heart ( correct) he certainly isnt a wasted talent. How far could anthony have got without it? Diesnt his career tell you all you need to know about the guy?

He actually got the most out of himself x50.

World Title fight against undefeated German fighting in fortress Germany itself in his 11th pro fight with no amateur experience. You cannot say he had no heart or no skill. You might fault his career decisions though.

    NEGATIVE.

He thought it would be easy as Ottke had such a low KO record - because he'd never been KO'd, his cockiness gave him a false sense of confidence which led him to believe he could beat Ottke.

Look how proud he was simply for surviving 12 rounds with Kessler - he and his nuthuggers gave him endless props for that, the way they went on about it you'd have thought he beat the **** out of Kessler

he did have a few am fights. he also hung around boxing gyms all his life and sparred millions of rounds. he was near his peak when he fought ottke. in his whole career he never saw the day that he could have beaten sven.

Comparing being in a gym all the time to Svens 300 plus amateur fights with less than 50 losses is a bit of a stretch

i dont think he ever reached his full potential, from what ive heard anthony is an absolute gentleman and really nice guy outside of the public eye, and it is a shame that he didnt take some of the bigger fights that he had been offered

As would have an up and coming Carl Froch but apparently at the time he had bigger fish to fry, what with him being the regular world champ , in the end he chose a staple diet of tiddlers canned ( pun intended ) in Argentina Beave .

It's pretty futile discussing Mundine with his nut huggers he can do no wrong . Threads involving him are best skipped by normally .

like i said, choc never saw the day he could have beaten ottke. mundine fought a great fight. he took his 'A' game and came up short.

he wasnt underprepared. he lived boxing all his life. was a bit down on 'fight' experience, and he did get a little better as AB100 commented, but he still never would have beaten ottke, on his best peak day.

the thing that mundine did wrong, was his tactical strategies, and the way he trained. he was trained to be a draught horse, when he was a true thoughbred. but thats another topic..
