Decent relations between Sky Sports and Boxnation?

I've noticed that over the past couple of weeks Ringside have started showing highlights of fights shown on Boxnation (with a very visible BN logo on the screen); they also gave a considerable amount of coverage to Haye/Chisora (and even spoke highly of Huck/Afolabi when showing a clip)last night, regardless of the content it was all advertising.

I've been watching Ringside for years and one thing that's all always annoyed me with it is how they have made no mention of fights, however big, if they've been shown on another network.

But this seems to have changed with respect to BN........

Also on Boxnation, when Bunce's show started he would frequently refer to Sky Sports as "The Darkside", this seems to have stopped, and he frequently refers to fights being shown on Sky Sports, and has even had fighters on the show advertising their upcoming fights on Sky Sports.

Is there really any animosity between the two channels? If there was it certainly seems to have changed. This must be a good thing for the viewers?:think

I think it's more about them both having to just get on with each other than any kind of good relationship. BoxNation need Sky's help if they wanna be successful and if they're showing more boxing then Sky will need to mention it. It works both ways.

Sky Sports still don't mention that a fight is on BoxNation though. Whereas Bunce always mentions which channel upcoming fights are on.

It's a shame that Eddie Hearn has banned his fighters from appearing on the Boxing Hour.

I've just found it quite noticeable how there has been absolutely no mention of Boxnation, and then the last couple of Ringside's have given it quite considerable coverage.

Still haven't heard Adam or Johnny actually mention Boxnation though:lol:

    I didn't know that.

It's just crazy; say what you like about Buncey but he is fair, and he would give them a good interview regardless of who they fight for :bbb

They're not allowed to mention it anyway. Sky sports already costs a lot of money and it wouldn't come across very well if they started plugging another channel for £10 a month extra.

If Sky wanted Boxnation to thrive they would allow them to be treated like any other premium service on their platform instead of going through a third party to upgrade (Paywizard).

I'd have deep concerns that come July 14th Boxnation will be so inundated with orders that they may not be able to deliver a decent service to all and face a backlash.

    Agreed mate. :good

If never ceases to amaze me how many people leave things like it until the last minute, why?!

BN are really going to have to be ready for this, they could maybe offer some sort of deal for booking early :think

If they did something like extra month free if you book at least 4days before or something then reminded people they had this channel for 2months then they may get some people renewing subscription

Given that Sky messed up the Haye/Klitchko PPV the chances of Boxnation not having a farce on the fourteenth are slim in my opinion.

If you want to see the fight for certain subscribe two weeks in advance!

Ringsides "policy" of ignoring non-Sky fights seemed to change when it came back on air for this run, before BoxNation arrived. They were mentioning Primetime fights, Frochs "internet" fights etc.
