    Random....

was just thinking about the fact that margarito really doesn't have any true marque wins...

    cheated vs cotto

    shane tko
    pacqiuao UD
    Cotto rematch TKO
Paul Williams SD (I think...m aybe it was a UD)

he only beat kermit cintron..... who gives a ****... .

floyd definitely would ahve got him outa there.

maybe its an unpopular view but i dont think he cheated in Cotto 1 and i have my reasons

he had a good title reign with the WBO but had a tough time securing the big fights

i dont try to rate him too high and i felt he was very over rated following Cotto 1

Clottey, Cintron, Cotto..all top WWs in their primes, handing them their first real loss..degrade him all you want, he was a beast who fought everyone and managed to become 3-time welter champ (WBO, IBF, WBA), making a stack of defences..not bad for a bum

I doubt stylistically Mayweather woul have no problems vs Margarito. He would pick Margo off all night, but it woulden't be easy.

Floyd would not have knocked him out. Be reasonable.

Shane used brute strength to outslug Margarito, and Williams used his 6'3,'' 82 inch reach frame, and decent power to keep Margarito at bay and circle away. And it's not like Williams has stamina issues. That was actually Williams best performance of his career. He should try to fight like that against every opponent.

The Floyd of Ricky Hatton would have to pot shot and run. He could not afford to go against the ropes because that's where Margarito does his best work.

Unlike Cotto, Margarito puts his entire body into those thudding uppercuts. And his long gangly frame, and ability to withstand punishment would make the ropes the worst possible place for Floyd to be in, regardless of how difficult it is to hit him with a clean shot in the face.

Margo would hit whatever he could, but he would not get tired. Margarito gets stronger as the fight goes on.

This would have been Mayweather's most difficult fight. Even more difficult than Cotto.

Margarito has size, volume, ability to absorb punishment, and endless stamina.

That is a nightmare matchup for a pure boxer like Mayweather who doesn't have the power to gain Margarito's respect.

Not even Pacquaio who counterpunched the **** outta Margarito and consistently hit him with shots he didn't see could make Margarito stop coming.

How is Mayweather going to "get him outta there?"

There is a reason Mayweather avoided Margarito. Win or lose, it would have been the hardest fight of his career, and he would have been touched up.

People need to understand, STYLES MAKE FIGHTS.

Wasn't the thread starter one of the guys saying, "Mayweather will walk down Cotto and stop him." Anybody who thought that, clearly doesn't know **** about boxing.

it would probably be like the pac fight, Margo would be out classed but at one point or another land something solid

clottey definitely got hurt in that fight though... he was spanking margarito for the first 4 rounds.... then he couldn't let go of his right (I think his right)

cintron is a bum... biggest mental midget in boxing history

A he got caught vs Mosley, how bad do you think the commissions are now a days that a guy could get away with it after the Collins Resto fight

B What kinda guy wraps and takes his gloves off

C what kind of guy wraps his hands and shakes hands with ppl after the fight

D if he shook hands with guys in the ring after the fight why did no one notice that he did something to the wraps

    thats just me though

All of his defining wins come into question. Reguardless he is a stylistic problem for Cintron. He only started to win the Clottey fight after Clottey broke his hand. Got his ass whopped by a faded Mosley. Got his ass whooped by Pac. Lost to Cotto in the rematch.

He hasn't won a meaningfull fight since plaster. I would even give Margarito credit today if he came back and fought someone bigger then him and won.
