Naz is overrated as **** as a trainer and he let Shane take tons of punishment. Shane Mosley had no game plan at all. They just training in order to make weight and that is it. **** that towel and all those quotes from Naz. Swim without getting wet.

Lol Shane will ignore it, and keep fighting. . . Although I don't see how it's possible that he gets another lucrative fight on any kind of network with how he's looked.

If I was Naz I would have stopped the fight. Shane took tons of punishment upstairs and to the body all night and clearly couldn't do a damn thin about it. They had no game plan at all and that falls on Naz and his ***** ass towel technique bull****.

Oh well. He finished on his feet and went out like a warrior. You always have a chance to redeem yourself in the end. I wanted to quit my job four years ago! Still there.

If Shane happens to read these boards... Great fight man.

So what.... No shame in wanting to quit when you are a 40 year old man, can't move half as well as you used to and getting pounded on brutally......Yet he still finished the fight because hes a warrior.

Very disappointed Naz didn't pull Mosley out of there. Shane took a lot of punishment that will affect him for the rest of his life.

yeah I agree. I thought Mosley's power would give him a shot, but he didn't seem to have any power. It's like his balance is all out of wack or his power is all gone.
Or Canelo made appear that way which is possible. All those things meant the same thing though, that Shane had no shot and was getting the crap beat out of him

I could care less at this point. Shane is OLD and older fighters tend to think differently. Their body and mind is not cooperating anymore. This can even happen to younger fighters that are starving at the weight class they are in...their mind is not the same. "Fatigue makes cowards of us all" ~Vince Lombardi

Which is why I"m against catchweights that force fighters down in weight and fighting Old Shot fighters if you can avoid it.

I've seen Proud Warriors that towards the end of their career decide to pack it in. Maybe they don't "quit' by taking a knee or sitting on their stool...but they do try to stop winning and go in defense mode. But all three we've seen: taking a knee; staying on their stool; and just retreating.

So what. It's self-preservation and realization that "I'm to old for this ****." Its just that sometimes, when you are not getting beat up, you start to believe you can still do it...that is, until some young buck comes along and shows you why you can't.

In the words of the Danny Glover's character in Lethal Weapon,

great stuff man. I work hard and as I get older I always picture Danny Glover when I say "I'm too old for this ****."
