It seems he is pointing down to his right foot as well. Same foot that was injured early on in the fight.

It was blamed on new shoes that Shane wore that night and was advised by Naz not to wear them because fighters should only wear broken in shoes on fight-night.

A trainer shouldn't stop a fighter from quitting. If that's what he wants to do, the trainer should go ahead and let him quit. They don't know how the fighter is feeling and it's not only irresponsibly but dangerous for a trainer to override the fighter.

 

Why does he go into fights and then later on he want's the fight to be stopped?

He just need's to be careful... if his opposition his picked carefully he will shine.

 

Exactly so perhaps Nazim should just be in the sport to inspect gloves and wraps obviously he isnt looking out for the fighters during the fight

 

If it's true, I've lost more respect for Naz than I did after him not stopping the Pacquiao fight. Shane's taken some quality of life- affecting beatings against Alvarez and Pac. When your fighter tells you he's done, he's done. Alvarez was dishing out some hellacious punishment, no trainer with his priorities straight lets that happen for 12 rounds. It's not like Naz will be there to take care of Shane the Eggplant in 25 years.

 

It's sad to see really. If this is what it's going to boil down to every fight for Mosley then it time to hang them up. Trying to get fights stopped cos he's not upto it anymore and hes taking a beating, but trying to save face at the same time.

Shane can't be allowing himself to be used as a punching bag and try and get an out. The idea of him showing up for a pay check saddens me.

 

The thing is that if Nady had stopped the fight without the audience knowing it was at the request of Mosley's corner, Nady would have caught lots of flack and would have been criticized to no end as being the ref who gave Mosley's sole KO on his record.

Agreed a hundred percent here. I wonder why Mosley has so many occurences of wanting to quit, but not actually quitting.. is it in his mental makeup to want to quit, and why does he not?
