Ideally I would have rather seen Wach vs Ustinov for the right to face Vitali but I'll take this anyway with Vitali wanting another fight before he faces Haye should he beat Chisora of course.

Looking at how I have my rankings only possibly one more fighter could have been a better choice.

    1. Wlad Klitschko (not going to happen)
    2. Vitali Klitschko
    3. Povetkin (fighting Rahman)
    4. Chambers ( Fighting each other)
    5. Adamek ( )
    6. Haye (fighting Chisora)
    7. Thompson (fighting Wlad)
    8. Helenius (injured)
    9. Pulev (wants to defend his euro title a few times)
    10. Chagaev (option below Wach)
    11. Boytsov (would be my first choice option)
    12. Solis (already beat)
    13. Kevin Johnson (already beat)
    14. Arreola (already beat)
    15. Wach (my personal 2nd choice, that'll do)
    16. Ustinov
    17. Dimitrenko
    18. Chisora
    19. Peter
    20. Huck

Oh and the version of Valuev Haye faced would have been KO'd now by Wach.

As a stay busy fight before Haye, it if plays out like that, then this fight is fine. I'd agree that Wach beating someone like Ustinov, Stiverne, or even Banks would give him and a possible Vitali fight more credibility.

Valuev was on the downside of his career when Haye beat him but I still think he had enough left to beat Wach.

First of all, haye didn't really beat old, past prime valuev. Sauerland signed contrct with haye just before the fight with valuev, that's why they gave the win to haye.

  4. Szpilka should face Vitali. Szpilka is a bad ass!

he's gonna spar with Wlad before his fight with Thompson, if he KO's Wlad in sparing then Vitali will call him out and make a brutal example of him in the ring

but seriously, Wach is a good fight for Vitali, he'll finally face someone who he can't control with his jab the whole fight, who's just as big and strong and not going to be pushed around like a rag doll

Wach has power, and is not out of Vitali's reach, so we might finally Vitali's granite chin tested for the first time in years :yep

Not a bad choice for Vitali to pick E S P E C I A L L Y seeing as how there are so precious few willing to fight him that he's not already beaten.

Yes, it's much better to sit on your ass doing nothing instead of remaining active and getting a few million euros :patsch:nut

a very tricky one for vitali imo. i could see him carrying wach through three rounds at a pinch but not much more and it won't be easy to get that much without it being obvious.

The fight isn´t too bad Wach has at least a size advantage and ko power. I just hope that it´s just a stay busy fight and not his last

I think it's a reasonable choice. I would have rather had Boytsov but we're waiting for that for a great while now and Haye opted to fight Chisora.

Americans and Brits won't like it, because he's neither American nor Brit but the man is big, strong, unbeaten, ranked high and can give and take a punch.

hahaha wow... Wach said he had a proposition from Klitschkos earlier.

"If I only wanted to earn money, I'd accept the offer they had for me last year. I decided it's better to wait though, to gain some more experience that will let me crash Klitschko."

Not a great fight, but the HW division is so barren nowadays that you get what you can I guess. Wach really is a troglodyte though. He has no jab to speak of, and some of the slowest hands I've ever seen. Decent power. Don't know about his chin. Very inexperienced. Should be a one-sided beatdown, but no one should expect it to mean anything.
