So Floyd-Cotto just got the same PPV buys of Nov.2011 PAC-JMM 3 fight. Floyd-Cotto should have done more, right?

Maybe both his top fights have been on cinco de mayo. But saying that pac could try to get this date but not sure if HBO would be as confident giving him the slot to beat Floyd. Should have pushed to fight Marquez in may. I think Pac Marquez 1 was on the first weekend after cinco de mayo but not sure if that counts

If you like to do a comparison, here's PAC's top PPV numbers:

2008 December: Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De la Hoya - 1.25 million PPV buys
2009 November: Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto - 1.25 million PPV buys
2010 November: Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito - 1.15 million PPV buys
2011 May: Manny Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley - 1.3 million PPV buys
2011 November: Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez (3rd fight) - 1.5 million PPV buys

Arum faked Pac - Marquez numbers

Why wouldnt they release the real numbers if Pac really did have his career high numbers?!?!

Wasn't career high, his fight with oscar done more. Maybe they are fake but GBP could subtly expose that as they know marquez's split and from that can work out the total.

    No

    emmanuel-Oscar did 1.25Mil

Juan-emmanuel III was supposedly 1.45Mil. If those numbers were valid, they are a career high

Top Rank doesn't allow hbo to release their official ppv #'s so arum can talk outta his ass and people may or may not believe him. Its a smart tactic if the numbers aren't close to what he hypes or the competitor (Floyd/Golden Boy) is doing. Bob is still a douche.

    Pac-DLH did 1.25mil

Its counter productive for GBP to call them out on something like that, they are rival promotional companies but they also have/need the capacity to be able to work together

My guess with the initial predictions of 2 million is that it would do 1.6 million. Still solid number.

My mistake, probably got it mixed up with the gate.

I agree they dont want to call them out in that way but could say it in a subtle way

expect Floyd to mouth off about it during the promos for the fight if it's ever signed. emmanuel is his only true competition when it comes to PPVs
