    I actually have a t shirt with Ike Williams on it from RING mag before they stopped selling them. These guys were animals.

    Ike Williams, Bob Montgomery, Beau Jack, Hank Armstrong. Williams beat Gavilan for god's sake.

    I also think this era got overshadowed by what was happening with Joe Louis and Ray Robinson. Took away the limelight a bit IMO

    Can't be too upset about the latter (;)) but this was definitely one of the lightweight golden eras. A couple rare posters on here (mostly in Classic) got a chance to see these guys Ike, Beau Jack, Montgomery live @MSG, as well as Robinson.
