The question should be, how the hell could you not include Chavez ?

I agree that floyd & pac ducking each other is far worse than Roy & B-Hop, which is why I rarely mention it these days... its still a little black mark but the main reason is that I just don`t think RJJ or B-Hop are above Chavez & Whitaker, everything considered.

Which is a reasonable take for sure, i'd rate them above Hopkins but i'd take Jones above Chavez and maybe Whitaker too, not sure on that one. I don't have any issues with anyone having it the other way.

When Mayweather and Pac are done they will likely be in and around that discussion with the 4 mentioned above IMO, at the moment i wouldn't really rate them as there are too many unanswered questions with what may happen in their careers.

    Mmmmm :think

Your right, we still get the best of Chavez but we miss out entirely on his 130 lb reign which is a big part of his career.... if we are talking greatness aka an entire career then yes, he definitely loses points... if we`re talking best as in how good they were in the ring then it still stands because his peak was dead on 1987.

    :good

Yep, I agree, the winner of fmj & pac will definitely be there or thereabouts... but if they don`t fight each other or fight way past their best then its not unfair to say they don`t deserve to be mentioned with these guys.

If we're talking how good they were in the ring, then Messers Jones and Mayweather have been more dominant in my eyes.

Chavez was also old very quickly, most likely due to how many fights he had. What would you consider his defining fight? Rosario?
