    1. If taylor boxed `smart` he would not have scored enough to build up the lead he built up on Chavez, it was Taylor`s ability to stand in front of Chavez & throw a **** load of crazy punches, taking a fair few in return, that bagged him his rounds.

    2. Chavez had an excellent defense, he was brilliant at slipping punches & countering himself & getting inside, Chavez ain`t some B class fighter that is gonna be outskilled & pot shotted, following floyd around like a lost puppy being picked apart like a dumbass. This was one of the most technically skilled pressure fighters that ever lived... sure he`d catch the odd clean punch or 3, who wouldn`t vs floyd but he`d also punish floyd for any mistakes he made himself & his punishment would carry more weight as the fight went on IMO.

:think Do you think his footspeed is still competent enough to cut the ring off and land enough consistently? Floyd isn't the best mover in my eyes, but his guard is incredibly strong, and he was much faster and sharper at 140 than Chavez seemed to be. Then again, even against Whitaker he was staying within range at all times like a mad dog and was bending his waist just as well as ever. Maybe I'm leaning the other way now...

Floyd. Just is a real bad style for JC to deal with.

I'm just here to watch the results...
But it's funny that whenever JCC is put in one of these H2H match-up's
People tend to imagine him being the "Older" say blown-up Whitaker fight version of Chavez or the washed up party animal that fought against Randall.

Just sayin' watch some fight's of the REAL Chavez first.

Chavez is most certainly not tailor made for Floyd. I could see the fight going either way, but it makes no sense to conclude Floyd would handle him easily when he'd be the most technically sound, hard-hitting, durable pressure fighter he's ever fought.

Same can be said about Floyd. It's always "Oh, look what Castillo could do"

well Castillo was a **** of a lot bigger than JC and Mayweather had one arm in that fight.

It's all bias when it comes down to it.

No offence to Castillo but JCC wipes his ass with him.

Like comparing Broner to Mayweather. (To make it easier to understand)

Good for Chavez, but the comparison still isn't there.

Castillo was the natural bigger guy. Had about 2 inches in height and heavier on fight night (junior middlewight sized)

    More like one inch.

And JCC also weighed at 150's when he was at welter.

They were about the same size.

The big difference isnt in size.

The big difference is in skill in favor of Chavez.

Yeah but the difference is that Floyd more skilled than Chavez. Chavez doesn't have the size to bully Floyd like Castillo did.
