Las Vegas is the fight capital of the world and has been for decades at this point, but MSG is the mecca of boxing and fighters know they definitively have made it when they fight there.

At the moment Las Vegas rules, the Germans put on good shows though.

Las Vegas is the undisputed place for big fights.

i just went to my very first live fight (mayweather and cotto) and it was an awesome experience!

just the buzz around the city (people selling shirts on the streets, posters everywhere) and the fact that the MGM Grand is jammed is awesome and makes the event seem huge. every cab i took the drivers were talking about the fight. there was also boxing alumni all over the place (i was standing next to holyfield, saw emmanuel steward and roger mayweather, and I bumped into Cotto at the Forum Shops @ Caesars on Friday before the weigh-in).

    just an overall awesome experience

I have been to a few fights before but I went to my first mayweather fight vs cotto. It was unreal. As mentioned, the vibe is great. Beautiful people everywhere. Saw more mayweather boxing club tshirts than I expected to see. Lot of people from new Zealand attended.

I truly don't think any other fight is as live as mayweather fight. It is "the event".

i agree. just an indescribable vibe, right down to the giant poster of may on the side of the MGM. it was good to see some mayweather supporters. my girlfriend and i were really outnumbered in our section (i guess it wouldn't really matter what section you're in bc there were so many pro-cotto/anti-floyd fans). but it was all in good fun when we were cheering for floyd and going back and forth with the haters.

at the moment, floyd is probably the only fighter i would spend the money i did to go see live...i just wanted to have the opportunity to say i got to see the man fight in person when i get older lol

you have to remember that mayweather wasn't on superstar status when he fought judah.
