Bob Arum knows that Pacquiao is on his last leg, and needs the torch to be passed to another Top Rank fighter. Timothy Bradley is a young fighter who can make lots of money for Arum with his undefeated record.

Expect the judges to give the fight to Bradley in the event of a close fight. But Bob Arum knows that Pacquiao doesn't stand a chance in this fight. It will be a clear victory for Bradley.:deal

Considering Arum can make more money off Pac-Floyd even if Manny get's KO'd than off Bradley's entire career as he'll never be a household name, nah. Arum is known for these tricks, but also for being a smart businessman, and what you're suggesting is extremely dumb business-wise.

strange that someone would say Timmy gets the close decision considering a robbery happened in emmanuel's last fight just so he could be gifted

That's what all promoters do. Why risk losing to someone out of his stable when he can keep building within?

Regarding a close fight with Bradley. I don't think the judges will be influenced there especially when Pacquiao-Mayweather remains the biggest possible fight by far. If it's 50/50, it's either a draw or for Pacquiao in my opinion.

No he isn't. He just has a rich stable so why not keep things within?, in the end Arum wins. This has nothing to do with "protecting" Pacquiao or any of that nonsense, Arum's only protecting his business. All promoters do that. It's easier for the promoter to make those fights than to negotiate with an outsider.

Cotto, Mosley, Concheato and Clottey were all TOP RANK fighters when Pac fought them.

I think Arum's been in the game long enough to know Bradley won't have the same marketing appeal at all.

The only thing wrong with this theory is Bradley isn't a draw like Pac.

Arum isn't stupid, Bradley can afford to lose and still have a career afterwards, he has age on his side.

I think Pac will win, setting up for the fight everyone has been waiting for.

The biggest fight of all time.

Does anyone think even though Bradley wins they might give Pacquiao a SD?
