:rofl:rofl:rofl That's exactly how I see it, the fights with Judah and ODLH were also much tougher, hell Corley and Mosley had him shook up. Truth be told Cotto did as well as Sosa or Baldo, he didn't get completely destroyed but C'mon Floyd was just being gracious.

 

Great point, now if you can teach some people on here that same basic concept ESB would be a better place. Every fighter is going to have to deal with adversity sometime in their career, when they do it does not mean there shot, or past it, or overrated.

 

Sick of hearing "Floyd made it hard on himself", no he didn't. Even without being aggressive against Cotto he stil would get hit by Cotto's jab. Lets give Cotto credit he pressed Floyd and fought smarter than most of Floyd's opponents and didn't take the beatings Chavez and Augustus did despite them having success. Cotto didn't take a beating at all.

BTW *******s, again, styles make fights. Floyd beat Marquez clearly don't forget that.

If he thinks cotto was tough, he better be ready to go to the well against pacquiao - not saying he will lose btw but it will be 10x as tough against manny

 

De La hoya was all over Floyd 3/4 of that fight. He just couldn't find a home upstairs very often, but when he jabbed he was winning the fight. Cotto was finding a home more often. De La hoya did work Floyd's body well too.
Cotto was a tougher fight though due to Floyd brawling. Floyd knew he couldn't do that vs. Oscar without getting hurt. Oscar has more power and a left hook that trumps any Cotto punches.
The fight vs. Oscar was a run hide type fight for Floyd so it wasn't as rough as Cotto's. Needless to say both men managed to win about 4 rounds, Oscar possibly 5 rounds.

Barring the brief moments of trouble Mosley & Corely were able to put him in, he's beaten everyone else with very little difficulty. Augustus has as good a case as any for the spot at #5 I guess, but while very tough in the literal sense, he wasn't exactly challenging for Floyd.

It's amazing to me that Mayweather struggled so much with a guy Pacquiao toyed with.

Man, Cotto was consistently landing clean. Proof of that was #1 Mayweathers face and number #2 Mayweather getting the umpteenth clean jab landed on his face and stands in the middle of the ring putting his gloves down and nodding at Cotto, giving him his props.
Cotto bloodied May's mouth, nose and gave him a couple small scraps. Oscar had Floyd's eye swollen like I haven't seen anyone do, but Cotto did the most facial damage to Floyd of any opponent.
